The Sokolow Theater/Dance Ensemble is proud to present Modern Rebels, a collection of rarely seen dances ranging from the groundbreaking works of modern dance pioneers Isadora Duncan, Doris Humphrey, Ruth St. Denis, Anna Sokolow, Talley Beatty, and Jane Dudley, to contemporary artists whose artistic lineage is a direct continuation of modern dance tradition.   Two performances, May 29 & 30, at The Tank, 312 West 36th Street.

The Deborah Zall Project will present a program of works by legendary modern dance choreographers Jane Dudley, Sophie Maslow and Anna Sokolow, along with dances by Deborah Zall, May 12 & 13 at 8 PM at the Martha Graham Studio Theater, 55 Bethune St.   Zall has gathered an ensemble of artists, all former members of the Martha Graham Dance Company, to perform these timeless works that have been reconstructed by Abigail Blatt, Lynn Frielinghaus, Samantha Geracht, Martin Lofsnes, and Zall.

American Theatre of Actors will hold a musical theater benefit on May 11th for St. Joseph's Indian School (www.stjo.org) in Chamberlain, South Dakota, which serves the impoverished Lakota children of the Pine Ridge and other reservations. Jane Culley, producer of the event and Vice President of American Theatre of Actors, has been a long-time supporter of the school. A remarkable roster of performers from Broadway, Cabaret and the dance world will donate their time and talents to this cause. In addition, stars of the Alvin Ailey and Martha Graham dance companies will perform, and ATA actors will present a short play about the plight of the Lakota accompanied by native drummers.

The evening will include complimentary Summer Sangria and Mediterranean Appetizers as well as an intimate look at the company's newest repertory. The benefit will take place at The Alvin Ailey Studios, Joan Weil Center for Dance, 405 W. 55th Street, 5th floor, NYC.

360° Dance Company presents PREVIEW, a Benefit Party on Thursday, June 13, 2013 at 7pm. The evening will include complimentary Summer Sangria and Mediterranean Appetizers as well as an intimate look at the company's newest repertory. The benefit will take place at The Alvin Ailey Studios, Joan Weil Center for Dance, 405 W. 55th Street, 5th floor, NYC. Tickets are $50 in advance or $65 at the door. 360° Dance Company presents an evening including the World Premieres of Regular Chain of Being, choreographed by Lauri Stallings, and Near Dark, choreographed by Artistic Director Martin Lofsnes, from October 18-20, 2012 at Alvin Ailey Citigroup Theater, 405 West 55th Street, NYC. Performances: Thursday at 7:30pm (Opening Night Gala), Friday at 8pm, Saturday at 8pm. Tickets are $25 and are available at www.360fullcircle.net or at the door.
