Irish Repertory Theatre presents the world premiere of THE PIGEON IN THE Taj Mahal, by Laoisa Sexton. Directed by Alan Cox (Black Snow), THE PIGEON IN THE Taj Mahal begins performances tonight, November 16, 2016 at Irish Rep Theatre (132 West 22nd Street) in the W. Scott McLucas Studio Theatre and officially opens on November 27, running through December 31, 2016.

Four theater artists will be honored by the Henry Hewes Design Awards Committee during the presentation of its 2016 Awards in a luncheon ceremony to be held November 7, 2016.

Specialists in introducing contemporary audiences to worthy, but neglected plays, The Mint Theater Company's new production will probably be a first introduction for many of its audience members to the work of N.C. Hunter.

Coming up next for Mint Theater Company will be the first ever New York revival of A Day by the Sea by N.C. Hunter, directed by Austin Pendleton. This will be the Mint's first production as a resident theater company at Theatre Row. Performances continue through September 24th at their new home at the Beckett Theater at Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street between 9th and Dyer Avenues). Opening Night is set for August 25th. A friendly reminder! Previews begin tonight for Irish Repertory Theatre's production of Conor McPherson's acclaimed play SHINING CITY, starring two-time Tony Award-winner Matthew Broderick. Directed by Ciaran O'Reilly, SHINING CITY also features Billy Carter (The Weir, Port Authority), Lisa Dwan (the acclaimed Beckett Trilogy), and James Russell (Port Authority, Juno and the Paycock).

Drama Desk Award winner Michael Urie (Buyer and Cellar, 'Ugly Betty') will serve as host of the 61st Annual Drama Desk Awards tonight, June 5, 2016 at 8:00 PM at The Town Hall (123 W. 43rd Street).

Irish Repertory Theatre has announced a new affordable ticket initiative, 24 for $24.  For each preview performance, 24 tickets will be available for $24 each. Tickets are limited to 2 per person, with no age restriction.

The Irish Repertory Theatre has announced that Conor McPherson's acclaimed play SHINING CITY, starring two-time Tony Award-winner Matthew Broderick, will inaugurate its newly renovated theater, located at 132 West 22nd Street.

The Off-Broadway League today announced nominations in 18 categories for the 31st Annual Lucille Lortel Awards for Outstanding Achievement Off-Broadway. The Lortel Awards will be presented on Sunday, May 1, 2016 at NYU Skirball Center beginning at 7:00 PM EST. This year's event will once again benefit The Actors Fund.

Opening night at the Pabst Theatre this December celebrated the 40th Anniversary of Milwaukee Rep's A Christmas Carol. The city's mayor Tom Barrett was on hand with an executive from Wells Fargo, the production's corporate sponsor. Each man echoed that theater, especially this longstanding tradition of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, creates family memories that last a lifetime and brings the community together.

A CHRISTMAS CAROL is currently running at Milwaukee Repertory Theatre through December 24, 2015, and BroadwayWorld has a first look at the cast in action below!

In his program notes for Great Lakes Theater's production, director Joseph Hanreddy states, 'KING LEAR, with its titanic range of emotional, vast physical landscape, dark ironic humor and snarl of mysteries, contradictions, ambiguity and paradoxes, render it one of the theater's greatest challenges to realize in performance.' To his credit, Hanreddy creates a production which lives up to the challenge.

THIRTEEN will once again present a selection of provocative and entertaining Off-Broadway plays, captured live on-stage, in THIRTEEN's signature 'up-close' style.
