The internationally renowned Lar Lubovitch Dance Company celebrates its 50th anniversary this spring with two programs at The Joyce Theater featuring the world premiere of Lar Lubovitch's Something About Night as well as signature works from the Company's vast repertory. The Company will be joined by the Martha Graham Dance Company and principals from The Joffrey Ballet, each performing seminal Lubovitch dances in honor of this milestone year. Performances are at The Joyce Theater April 17–22, 2018 (Tuesday and Wednesday at 7:30pm, Thursday and Friday at 8pm, Saturday at 2pm and 8pm, and Sunday at 2pm).

Pascal Rioult's RIOULT Dance NY announces its Centered On The Future 2018 Winter Gala to be held on Wednesday February 28, 2018 at The Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers – Pier 61 a 6:30pm. This year's Gala will honor Joseph W. Armbrust, Kaufman Astoria Studios, and Steinway & Sons. The Gala Co-Chairs are John A. MacKinnon and Harsha Murthy. Long-time friends of the company, actress Kathleen Turner, will speak and offer a special rendition of It's Only A Paper Moon, and Tony nominated Christine Andreas will sing Hymne a L'Amour reprising her 2015 collaboration with RIOULT. The Gala will feature dance performances, an auction, a gourmet dinner, followed by a DJ and dancing.

SOKOLOW THEATRE/DANCE ENSEMBLE, in its first season under the artistic direction of Samantha Geracht, will appear in rarely seen works by legendary American modern dance pioneer Anna Sokolow, including her Moods, which has not been performed since the late 1970's, along with Dreams and Preludes.   The Company will be joined by guests Jennifer Conley, former soloist with the Martha Graham Dance Company, performing Sokolow's solo Poem, and Clarence Brooks, former Company member, in ?Sweet in the Morning, ?by choreographer Leni Wylliams.   Four performances, March 8-11 at the Mark O'Donnell Theater at the Actors Fund Arts Center, 160 Schermerhorn Street, Brooklyn.

Jinah Parker's SHE to Run Off-Broadway

Choreographer, playwright, and dancer Jinah Parker's momentous and timely work SHE will run March 31 - May 19 at the Gym at Judson in Manhattan. This moving work of dance-theater-"a Choreoplay"-opens up all-too-necessary conversations about sexual trauma, systemic racism, women's healing and ownership of their bodies, and the undoing of rape culture.

Sandra Kaufmann, former soloist with the Martha Graham Dance Company will guest with Kanopy Dance in their concert entitled 'Dark Tales', a program of thought-provoking dance that ranges in styles from classical modern to physical theater, February 9-18 in Madison Wisconsin.   Ms. Kaufmann will appear in her original solo 'A People's Cry', a modern response to violence again women; and modern dance choreographer Deborah Zall's 'La Bonne Dame: Remembering George Sand', (the novelist who adopted a male persona to ply her craft more freely).  Ms. Kaufmann will also teach a master class at the Kanopy Studio on Thursday February 8.
