JERSEY BOYS Offers 2012 Olympics Special

With one year to go until the start of the London Olympic Games 2012, the producers of JERSEY BOYS are offering people the chance to buy top-price tickets to see the multi award-winning musical in London during the Olympics and Paralympics weeks in 2012 for just £20.12 each. These special tickets are available from today, Wednesday 27 July 2011 until 20 December 2011 and can be purchased in person from the Box Office at the Prince Edward Theatre, or on 0844 482 5151, or at www.jerseyboyslondon.com. These tickets would normally cost £65 weekdays and £67.50 at the weekend. The special price includes a £1 restoration levy and the normal transaction/booking fees apply (£1.75 via the ‘phone and website, but £0 in person at the counter).

Manhattan Theatre Club has just announced that Tony and Emmy Award winner Cynthia Nixon will return to MTC to star in the Broadway premiere of the Pulitzer Prize-winning play WIT by Margaret Edson, directed by MTC's award-winning Artistic Director Lynne Meadow. The limited engagement of WIT will begin previews Thursday, January 5, 2012 and open Thursday, January 26, 2012 at MTC's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre.

On Tuesday, June 28 THE ADDAMS FAMILY welcomed stage and screen star Brooke Shields in the role of Morticia. Shields joined current Broadway cast members Roger Rees as Gomez, Brad Oscar as Fester, Rachel Potter as Wednesday, Jackie Hoffman as Grandma, Zachary James as Lurch, Adam Riegler as Pugsley, Heidi Blickenstaff as Alice Beineke, Adam Grupper as Mal Beineke and Jesse Swenson as Lucas Beineke. The hit musical will surpass Abie's Irish Rose with 2,328 performances, becoming the 26th longest-running Broadway show following the performance tomorrow night, Saturday, June 25, and JERSEY BOYS will surpass Man of La Mancha with 2,329 performances, becoming the 25th longest-running Broadway show following the performance on Sunday, June 26.
