Sheldon Harnick wrote the words for the songs in Fiddler, The Rothchilds, and lyrics for many other historic tunes, but he also wrote the words in a new book of photographs by his wife Margery Gray and son Matt Harnick.  The book was launched at a party attended by lots of his Broadway friends at TAO  in NYC and Broadwayworld was there.  Like his songs, the photographs in KOI are a thing of beauty and create wonderful feelings.

Every so often, a show comes along that manages to surprise even the most unlikely of theatre-goers. Shows that seem geared towards a certain audience sometimes prove themselves able to entertain a vast array of tastes, more than they may have expected. This is the case of SOCIAL SECURITY at Oyster Mill Playhouse, a play aimed to tickle the funny bones of an older crowd that still succeeds in getting a laugh from all ages.

Marlo Thomas will kick-off the festivities that will also feature a tribute to the legendary Carol Burnett, the event will start at 6:30 pm at Cipriani Wall Street.

After critically acclaimed and award winning productions in Seattle, New Jersey and Boston the new musical, Ernest Shackleton Loves me, officially opened last night, May 7, 2017 at Off-Broadway's Tony Kiser Theatre (305 West 43rdStreet). Clever Little Lies opened to acclaim at the Morris Museum's Bickford Theatre last week and runs through May 7. Directed by Producing Artistic Director Eric Hafen, this production of Clever Little Lies stars Harriett Trangucci as Alice, Bob Mackasek as Bill Sr., Rachel Matusewicz as Jane, and Ben Kaufman as Billy, Jr. 

Clever Little Lies, which premiered to critical acclaim in 2013 at the George Street Playhouse and then recently enjoyed a successful stint Off-Broadway, will be presented at the Morris Museum's Bickford Theatre from April 21 through May 7 with a preview performance on April 20. This new production of the comedy-drama, directed by Producing Artistic Director Eric Hafen, stars the popular Harriett Trangucci as Alice.

A series of short plays by Robert Patrick - author of the forward-thinking dramas CAMERA OBSCURA and ALL IN THE MIND, minimalist works from the 1960s and 1970s that questioned the future and presciently foreshadowed the cyber web we live in today - will be presented together as an evening-length work that immerses the viewer in technologies that were science fiction when the plays were originally written.
