The Shakespeare Center of Los Angeles (SCLA), a professional theater and arts education nonprofit organization that builds communities around the appreciation and production of Shakespeare, will present blockbuster film director Roland Emmerich and entertainment attorney and author Bert Fields with the Crystal Quill Award for their contributions to the Shakespeare authorship debate.

With the musical hit Beehive: The '60s Musical Sensation bringing down the house nightly through October 15, the Roxy Regional Theatre, Clarksville, has opened its 29th season of classics, musicals, regional premieres and world premieres.

Theatre at the Center, located at 1040 Ridge Road in Munster, Indiana presents actor and musician Jim Post in Mark Twain and the Laughing River. Beginning Tuesday, December 27th and running through Saturday, December 31st, this will mark the first time Theatre at the Center has presented programming during this time period. Join this milestone production as Post takes us on a journey of the American author and humorist's life using Twainian wit and wisdom paired with the triumphant music that is characteristic of Post's productions.

Theater for the New City (Crystal Field, Executive Director) will present SIREN'S HEART - Marilyn in Purgatory, written by Walt Stepp (Only Love Will Do, Lightin' Out-A Mark Twain Musical, Why We Shot Jack-The Conspirators' Drama), October 5-23. Lissa Moira directs this one-woman show about Marilyn Monroe starring Louisa Bradshaw*. Gregory Nissen serves as Musical Director & Arranger & Don Garverick choreographs. Unbound Productions Co-Artistic Directors Jonathan Josephson, Paul Millet, and Jeff G. Rack have announced the line-up and casting for two full productions of the popular horror story adaptation series WICKED LIT that will take place at Mountain View Mausoleum and Cemetery in Altadena, California. Production A (October 21-November 5, 2011) will consist of a remount of three plays that the theatre company produced as part of last year's engagement: Charles Dickens' The Chimes, H.P. Lovecraft's The Unnamable and Edgar Allan Poe's The Cask of Amontillado.
