Going back to school was never as much fun or as funny as at Late Nite Catechism, appearing at Bristol Riverside Theatre September 9-13.  Written by Maripat Donovan and Vicki Quade, this one-woman interactive comedy features Nonie Newton-Riley as the irrepressible Sister who rewards her "students" with glow-in-the-dark rosaries or a seat on stage in the corner reflecting on their naughty actions.

I'll admit I had my reservations walking into the latest Omaha Community Playhouse production. How could a two hour, one woman show possible be interesting enough to hold the audience's attention? Not only that...the subject was Catholic schools. I am not even Catholic and I was afraid that I was going to be offput by a script filled with religious (and not so religious) jokes. Four productions still remain in Geva Theatre Center's 42nd Season: A Body of Water, Lee Blessing's play of memory and identity; The Mountaintop, a reimagining of Martin Luther King's last night on earth; the world premiere of Cass Morgan's journey to discover her roots - The Road to Where; and the season's grand finale, the laugh-out-loud comedy Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike. The 2014-2015 Season continued Geva's innovative efforts to connect patrons and artists and art with the community. The 2015-2016 Season will continue to build on that and also usher in a new era as Geva's historic home begins to undergo renovation and transformation.

Catechism classes are never as much fun - or as hilarious - as when they are led by Sister in the international hit comedy Late Nite Catechism by Vicki Quade and Maripat Donovan. Late Nite Catechism will be visit Hershey Theatre tonight, March 13 at 8:00 p.m.
