National Jewish Theater to Present THE SOAP MYTH, 3/23-4/22

National Jewish Theater, Producing Artistic Director Arnold Mittelman, will present a limited Off-Broadway run of The Soap Myth, by Jeff Cohen, from March 23 - April 22 at theBlack Box Theatre at the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre (111 West 46th Street, between 6th Avenue and Broadway). Directed by Arnold Mittelman, this production will starGreg Mullavey (television's "Marty Hartman") and features Andi Potamkin, Donald Corren, and Dee Pelletier.

February 2nd marked the opening night for the Primary Stages (Casey Childs, Founder & Executive Producer; Andrew Leynse, Artistic Director; Elliot Fox, Managing Director) world premiere of the new play, Rx, written by Kate Fodor. Directed by Ethan McSweeny, the cast features Michael Bakkensen, Marylouise Burke, Marin Hinkle, Stephen Kunken, Paul Niebanck, and Elizabeth Rich. Rx will have set design by Lee Savage, costume design by Andrea Lauer, lighting design by Matthew Richards, original music and sound design by Lindsay Jones, and prop supervision by Faye Armon. In Annie Baker's engrossing CIRCLE MIRROR TRANSFORMATION--the recent Obie Award Winner for Best New American Play--audiences are provided a glimpse into the world of the actor's studio, a bare space that comes alive with theater games, improvisation and emotional catharsis from its sometimes perplexed participants. One of last season's celebrated Off-Broadway hits, the play is remounted at South Coast Repertory for its West Coast Premiere engagement through January 30. Sam Gold, the play's original director returns to direct this new production in Orange County which features a terrific cast.
