Broadway will bring 'Dancing with the Stars' duo Karina Smirnoff and Maksim Chmerkovskiy together again for three weeks only in Luis Bravo's internationally acclaimed entertainment phenomenon, Forever Tango. The couple reunites to perform the sensuous dance of lovers at Broadway's Walter Kerr Theatre (219 W 48th Street) beginning tonight, Tuesday, July 9 through Sunday, July 28, 2013. Smirnoff and Chmerkovskiy join the previously announced special guest vocalist and five-time Grammy Award-winner, Gilberto Santa Rosa, who will also appear through July 28, 2013.

Nine remaining couples hit the dance floor and face an exciting new challenge MONDAY, APRIL 15 (8:00-10:01 p.m., ET). In another first for "Dancing with the Stars," a new twist called "Len's Side By Side Challenge" tasks each couple to perform a portion of their individual dance alongside a pro dance couple. The pro couples will include returning favorites Maksim Chmerkovskiy, Anna Trebunskaya, Tristan MacManus, Tony Dovolani, Gleb Savchenko and Chelsie Hightower. This new twist will allow the audience as well as judges to compare the celebrity's dance technique in real time to a professional's. Monday will also feature a show stopping opening number with the entire cast, returning pros and dance troupe.

Long-time DANCING WITH THE STARS dance pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy will be making his acting debut on the daytime sudser General Hospital today. The news was revealed by GH producer Ron Carlivati on Wednesday

According to TMZ, both Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Chelsie Hightower are departing ABC's glitzy competition. Chmerovskiy seems to be exiting on his own terms - Hightower, not so much.

In a message to his fans, professional dancer and cast member on DANCING WITH THE STARS, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, announced on TV Guide that he's not certain he'll return to the competition show for another season.

Now that we're down to the nitty-gritty of DANCING WITH THE STARS, (or, at least as much 'grittiness' as possible) fan-favorites are all on the chopping-block. This late into the game, with next week being the semi-finals, only text messages and the flail-about voting methods of Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba separate the contestants from the proverbial blade. Monday night's performance show on "Dancing with the Stars: All-Stars" will include two rounds of competition for the seven remaining couples, a Ballroom and Latin Trio round. In honor of Veterans Day, the first round will feature performances to songs that pay homage to servicemen and women. During the Latin Trio round, each couple will be joined by an eliminated pro or Troupe dancer, MONDAY, NOVEMBER 12 (8:00-10:01 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network. The audience will also be joined by members of several branches of the Armed Forces, including two former Marines, William Franco Vasquez and Nick Jones Jr., who will be special guests on an episode of ABC's hit comedy "The Middle" on November 14.

In honor of the exorbitantly important elimination tomorrow - you know, the one that will essentially determine what sort of country America will come to be known as in the near-future (also, vote) - DANCING WITH THE STARS is foregoing their own elimination this week. Instead, we'll be treated to a double-elimination next week.

During this week's two-hour performance show on MONDAY, NOVEMBER 5 (8:00-10:01 p.m., ET), the seven remaining couples will perform a fusion dance that has was chosen by their competitors on last week's show. The show's opening number, choreographed by Henry Byalikov, will feature The Troupe and four pros from the season. Later in the night, after the couples' individual rounds, they will all take the dance floor for a swing dance marathon with the chance to add up to 10 extra points to their scores for the night. The couple in first place will get 10 points, the couple in second place will get 9 points, the couple in third place will get 8 points, the couple in fourth place will get 7 points, the couple in fifth place will get 6 points, the couple in sixth place will get 5 points and the seventh place couple will get 4 points.
