Aurora Theatre Company proudly opens its 20th anniversary season with renowned American playwright Edward Albee's Pulitzer Prize-winning brutal comedy of manners A DELICATE BALANCE. Aurora Theatre Company Artistic Director Tom Ross helms a remarkable cast for A DELICATE BALANCE, including Aurora co-founder Ken Grantham and the company's first leading lady (Candida), Kimberly King. Jamie Jones makes her Aurora Theatre Company debut and Bay Area favorites Anne Darragh, Charles Dean, and Carrie Paff return to the Aurora stage, rounding out this spectacular ensemble. A DELICATE BALANCE closes October 9 at the Aurora Theatre in Berkeley.

With one show-stopping number after another, Burlesque to Broadway splashes onto the stage, starring Quinn Lemley, star of the critically acclaimed THE HEAT IS ON! Celebrating the life of Rita Hayworth, her two sexy sidekicks, Gracie (played by Natalie Loftin Bell) and Raz (Jane Bunting) and a sizzling 10-piece big band musical direction, W Brent Sawyer directed by Tony Award winner, Joseph Hardy.

Audience members have the opportunity to ask questions of the talented cast and the artistic director, Gayle Stahlhuth (who also has a small role in the play) on Friday, September 30, immediately after seeing the award-winning Equity professional East Lynne Theater Company's production of 'Dulcy.'

Playwright Claudia Shear (with an assist in conception from James Lapine) has constructed an interesting take on your typical showbiz biography. DIRTY BLONDE combines elements and events taken from the life of Mae West, and plays them off of a romantic coupling. It's an odd combination that works charmingly, and provides some insight into what made that particular 'dirty blonde' click as a person and as a a performer.

Internationally renowned psychic intuitive-medium, Char Margolis, will be leading a séance to contact the spirits of Serendipity past.
