Theatre and Opera director Stephen Wadsworth's new production of Terrence McNally's Master Class starring Tyne Daly as the legendary opera soprano Maria Callas is to transfer to the Vaudeville Theatre following its critically acclaimed, sell-out run on Broadway.

Baz Bamingoye reports in today's UK Daily Mail that Tyne Daly, who led the Manhattan Theatre Club's Broadway production of Terrence McNally's Tony Award-winning MASTER CLASS, directed by Stephen Wadsworth which closed on September 4 at MTC's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre (261 West 47th Street) will bring her portrayal to London's West End in 2012.

AFRAID OF THE DARK -- a new thriller whose author writes anonymously -- will be given its world-premiere production Off-Broadway this fall at the Little Shubert Theatre (422 W. 42 St.) in Manhattan, with previews scheduled to begin on September 8. Opening night and casting TBA.

Kathleen Marshall and a team of producers have withdrawn from the Gershwin musical 'Nice Work If You Can Get It.'

Grammy Award and Emmy Award winner and two-time Tony Award nominee Harry Connick, Jr. will return to Broadway in Spring 2009 in Nice Work If You Can Get It, a new musical comedy with music and lyrics by George and Ira Gershwin, and book by Joe DiPietro ( I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change, All Shook Up). Two-time Tony Award winner Kathleen Marshall (The Pajama Game, Wonderful Town) will direct and choreograph.

Stars of the tennis world will turn up at the Broadway play Deuce on Tuesday, May 15. The United States Tennis Association (USTA) is hosting a benefit evening at the Music Box Theatre for the USTA Tennis & Education Foundation.
