Beatrice Mori di Gerfalco Welles and writer-producer-director Dax Phelan have teamed up for a six-episode original docu-series, “Life with Orson Welles: The Man Behind the Legend.” The daughter of Orson Welles and his third wife Paola Mori, Welles is a countess from an Italian noble family that dates back to 400 AD, a stage and film actress (“Chimes at Midnight,” “Don Quixote”), and the manager of the Orson Welles estate.

Phelan will adapt the books and direct. The pic will be produced by Phelan and Eric M. Klein (JASMINE, HAPPY HOUR, THE YOUNG UNKNOWNS) via New SILK Road Entertainment and Hey Klein Pictures, and executive produced by Stratton Leopold (MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE III, PAYCHECK, THE SUM OF ALL FEARS). A search for a lead actress to play Murray is currently underway.

LA Phil Names Teng Li Principal Viola

Music & Artistic Director Gustavo Dudamel and the Los Angeles Philharmonic have announced the appointment of Teng Li to the post of Principal Viola. Li assumes her duties in August 2018, during the Hollywood Bowl season. She comes to Los Angeles from the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, where she served as principal violist since 2004.
