The John F. Kennedy Center's new production of Terrence McNally, Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty's Tony Award® winning musical RAGTIME, based on the E.L. Doctorow novel, features direction and choreography by Marcia Milgrom Dodge, and a majestic 28-piece orchestra led by musical director James Moore.

One of the potentially sublime qualities of fringe theatre productions is that they can reinforce the fact that it is not necessary to have the stage filled with epic-scale scenery or helicopters in order to present a great piece of musical theatre - provided that the piece in itself is dramatically and musically strong, the performances compelling and the direction cleverly inventive. A MAN OF NO IMPORTANCE will make its European premiere beginning November 11th at the Union Theatre in London. The production will star Olivier winner Paul Clarkson as Alfie Byrne. A MAN OF NO IMPORTANCE features a book by Terrence McNally with music by Stephen Flaherty and lyrics by Lynn Ahrens.
