Mayo Performing Arts Center, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, presents a wide range of programs that entertain, enrich, and educate the diverse population of the region and enhance the economic vitality of Northern New Jersey. The 2018-2019 season is made possible, in part, by a grant the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State, a Partner Agency of the National Endowment for the Arts, as well as support received from the F.M. Kirby Foundation and numerous corporations, foundations and individuals. The Mayo Performing Arts Center has been designated a Major Presenting Organization by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts. Mayo Performing Arts Center was named 2016 Outstanding Historic Theatre by the League of Historic American Theatres, and is ranked in the top 50 mid-sized performing arts centers by Pollstar Magazine.

The Recording Academy will honor its 2018 Special Merit Awards recipients with 'GRAMMY Salute To Music Legends®,' an awards ceremony and live tribute concert on Saturday, July 14, 2018, at Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. This year's Lifetime Achievement Award honorees are Hal Blaine, Neil Diamond, Emmylou Harris, Louis Jordan, the Meters, Queen, and Tina Turner. Additional Special Merit Awards honorees to be celebrated include Bill Graham, Seymour Stein, and John Williams, who are this year's Trustees Award honorees, and Tony Agnello and Richard Factor, who are the Technical GRAMMY Award recipients. Also being honored is Melissa Salguero, this year's recipient of the Music Educator Award. Led by GRAMMY®-nominated industry icon Greg Phillinganes as musical director, the tribute concert will feature rare performances by honorees and never-seen renditions by those they've inspired. Currently scheduled to appear are eight-time GRAMMY winner Herb Alpert, who will honor Blaine; past GRAMMY nominee Micky Dolenz, who will be honoring Diamond; GRAMMY winner Sammy Hagar, who will pay tribute to Graham; 13-time GRAMMY winner and Lifetime Achievement Award recipient Harris; past GRAMMY nominee Ledisi, who will salute Jordan; and three-time GRAMMY winner Trisha Yearwood, who will pay tribute to Harris. Presenters for the evening include actress Angela Bassett and GRAMMY winner Henry Rollins. Additional performers and presenters will be announced shortly. Every year, Quiet Valley Ranch just outside the small town of Kerrville, Texas is transformed into a musical wonderland as the Kerrville Folk Festival is presented for 18 days. It showcases singer/songwriters who show passion and joy for the art of folk music. People come from all over the world to camp at the ranch and enjoy entertainment day and night. It is a family friendly event that includes everyone. BWW San Antonio recently caught up with Dalis Allen, the producer of the Kerrville Folk Festival. She shared her passion and joy for being a part of the festival since its first year.

SMG & Creative Concerts welcome singer, composer and actor Lyle Lovett and his Large Band to The Oncenter Crouse Hinds Theater on August 2, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. Lyle Lovett has broadened the definition of American music in a career that spans 14 albums. Coupled with his gift for storytelling, the Texas-based musician fuses elements of country, swing, jazz, folk, gospel and blues in a convention-defying manner that breaks down barriers.

The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum will host a book signing for the launch of Tony Brown's Elvis, Strait, to Jesus: An Iconic Producer's Journey with Legends of Rock 'N' Roll, Country & Gospel Music (Center Street, May 1, 2018) on Thursday, May 3rd at 1:00PM in the museum's 5th Avenue lobby.

Steven Van Zandt's Renegade Circus and Sixthman, the industry leader in music festivals at sea, are excited to announce the lineup for the 2019 sailing of The Outlaw Country Cruise 4. GRAMMY Award winning band Paramore and Sixthman, the industry leader in music festivals at sea, have just returned to shore after the sold-out Parahoy! Deep Search cruise. The third annual journey was a four-day adventure from Miami to Nassau, Bahamas that took place from April 6th-10th, during which 2700 guests from 32 countries boarded Norwegian Jade and were treated to a variety of performances, activities and experiences. Paramore performed 2 pool deck shows as well as special “mini set” acoustic performances in the ship's intimate Stardust Theater. Those performances saw “Grudges” performed live for the first time and the band being joined onstage by Aaron Weiss (mewithoutYou) for a live performance of their collaboration, “No Friend.” Guests became the stars during “Paraoke,” performing Paramore songs while the band cheered them on from just feet away on stage, laughed as the band judged a belly flop contest, and one lucky duo played ping-pong with Zac Farro and Taylor York. The band also took cruisers' questions during a pool deck Q&A session.

AEG Presents announced this morning the full 2018 lineup for its 60th Summer Concert Series at The Mountain Winery. This year's shows will run from May 27 through September 30 and include legendary performers and top-notch talent across many genres in music and comedy. Returning icons gracing The Mountain Winery's legendary summer stage include Willie Nelson with Alison Krauss, Tony Bennett, Pretenders, Alanis Morissette, The Original Wailers, Los Lobos, Norah Jones, Lyle Lovett and The Roots. New performers include Roger Daltrey, O.A.R., The Rascals and the comedy duo #IMOMSOHARD.

As part of Jazz Appreciation Month, Governor Doug Ducey has issued an official proclamation declaring April 2018 as Jazz Appreciation Month and April 30, 2018 as International Jazz Appreciation Day.  Representing Governor Doug Ducey to present the Proclamation was Barry Wong, Director of the Governor's Office of Equal Opportunity.  Mr. Wong read the proclamation to audiences at The Nash  on March 29 at the Lewis Nash Pro Jam, with Lewis Nash and Doc Jones in attendance.  The Proclamation will be on display at The Nash throughout the month.  

Known as much for her eloquently straightforward songwriting as for her incomparably expressive singing, Emmylou Harris, who easily crosses musical genres encourages people to open their eyes to the wide variety of loveable adoptable dogs waiting at local animal shelters.

Sixthman, the industry leader in festivals at sea who recently celebrated the milestone of taking guests on over 1,000,000 days of vacation at sea, is excited to announce the first wave of festivals at sea for the 2019 season. Fans aboard the recent sailings of The Outlaw Country Cruise, The Rock Boat, truTV's Impractical Jokers Cruise and Cayamo in 2018 were treated to advance news that each would return for another journey. 2019 will mark a return to Florida for Sixthman as the Spring sailings will depart from Tampa starting in the end of January. Anna Karney has been making great music for many years, performing across the US and collaborating with many talented and notable artists. She has put out several singles and EPs as a solo artist and together with her band, and will release the fifth full-length KARNEY album of original songs titled NO MERCY in stores and online March 9, 2018. Keeping her mind on social justice and positive messages, Anna Karney's lyrical content offers a sardonic and sometimes straightforward approach to many of the issues facing people today, with a message of hope resonating throughout every song she writes.

Long-time friends Lyle Lovett and Shawn Colvin come together on the Warner Main Stage on Friday, March 2 at 8 pm for one incredible acoustic evening of music as these two master performers and songwriters share songs and stories.
