On Oct 4, Six-Word Memoirs returns to 92YTribeca with a new show with a six-word title and wonderful theme: 'Let Me in You Narrative Whore' -- A Six-Word Memoir Story Show on the Creative Life. Six performers will each start with a Six-Word Memoir about the creative life and then open it up into a six-minute backstory. You'll hear true tales about the creation moment of the smash fiction series and Broadway musical "Wicked" from its creator, Gregory Maguire and more!

According to Deadline.com, Tony Award winner Lin-Manuel Miranda will play a recurring role on the NBC drama 'Do No Harm.'

Theatre Seven of Chicago, recipient of the 2012 Emerging Theater Award, has announced its full 2012/13 Season: AMERICAN STORM by Carter Lewis, directed by Artistic Director Brian Golden at the Greenhouse Theater Center; BLACKTOP SKY by Christina Anderson, directed by Cassy Sanders, presented as part of Steppenwolf Theatre Company's 4th annual Garage Rep in The Steppenwolf Garage; JOHNNY by Artistic Director Brian Golden at the Greenhouse Theater Center; and UNWILLING AND HOSTILE INSTRUMENTS: 100 Years of Extraordinary Chicago Women, a collection of seven new plays by some of the industry's most talented playwrights and directors.

Thomas Sadoski, a Tony nominee for his work in reasons to be pretty and who currently stars in HBO's The Newsroom, is set to appear in the world premiere production of Michael Golamco's Build in the Audrey Skirball Kenis Theater at the Geffen Playhouse.

Goodman Theatre opens its 2012/2013 Season in the Owen Theatre with playwright, actor and poet Dael Orlandersmith's Black n Blue Boys/Broken Men, a co-commission with Berkeley Repertory Theatre. Directed by Chay Yew, Black n Blue Boys/Broken Men is Orlandersmith's solo-performed examination of humanity's capacity for hope and survival, rendered through the eyes of five men ages 11 to 50.

Rattlestick Playwrights Theater Artistic Director David Van Asselt and Managing Director Brian Long have announced the cast and creative team for the world premiere of Through the Yellow Hour, a play written and directed by Adam Rapp (Pulitzer Prize finalist for Red Light Winter). The first production of the company's 18th season, Through the Yellow Hour will begin performances tonight, September 13, 2012 at Rattlestick Theater (224 Waverly Place-off Seventh Avenue South, between Perry and West 11th Streets). The cast includes Hani Furstenberg, Brian Mendes, Matt Pilieci, Danielle Slavick, Alok Tewari, Joanne Tucker, and Vladimir Versailles.

The Civilians (Steven Cosson, Artistic Director), the award-winning New York-based theater company known for projects investigating real life topics, presents Let Me Ascertain You: Occupy #S17 on September 17 at Joe's Pub. The cabaret will focus on the one-year anniversary of Occupy Wall Street, and will feature monologues and songs crafted from interviews with activists conducted by Civilians artists throughout the past year. The one-night-only performance in The Civilians' entertaining and thought-provoking style will illuminate many of the diverse individual voices behind these large-scale protests, examine how this dynamic call to action has evolved, and explore what its future holds.

The new CBS comedy PARTNERS, starring 'How to Succeed in Business' alum Michael Urie, premieres on Monday, September 24th 8:30-9:00 PM, ET/PT. In the premiere episode, Joe (David Krumholtz) proposes to girlfriend Ali (Sophia Bush), however his best friend and business parter Louis (Urie) mistakenly assumes they have broken up. Broadway makes its way to Atlanta this fall with the Southeastern premiere of Time Stands Still at Horizon Theatre. Playwright Donald Margulies' latest work about finding happiness in a world that seems to have gone crazy received a Tony nomination for Best Play in 2010. Producers of THE ADDAMS FAMILY announced additional dates today for the Fall 2012 leg of the musical's North American tour. The production will play Dallas (Oct. 2 - 21), Seattle (Oct. 24 - Nov. 11), Salt Lake City (Nov. 13 - 18), Las Vegas (Nov.20 - 25), Tempe (Dec. 11 - 16) and Costa Mesa (Dec. 18 - 30). Plus, Curtis Holbrook (West Side Story, Xanadu) will join the cast of the national tour as "Lucas Beineke."

Signature Theatre has announced a "World of the Play" discussion for Athol Fugard's The Train Driver on Saturday, September 15 from 4:30 to 6 p.m. in The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre Lobby at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues). The event, which will be focused on post-apartheid South Africa, is free and open to the general public (no reservations required).

Today, September 9th, 2012, David Youse, FOUR THINGS PRODUCTIONS in association with L.A. WORKS will present an unprecedented staged reading of the critically-acclaimed play, "Steel Magnolias" at The Broad Stage in Santa Monica. In partnership with playwright Robert Harling, FOUR THINGS PRODUCTIONS is honored to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of this remarkable story written for Harling's sister whom he lost through complications of diabetes.
