Laurie Anderson, Joan Osborne and Suzanne Vega received Women's Project's 2010 Women of Achievement Award March 8. The 32-year-old theater company dedicated to producing the work of female theater artists made the awards last night on International Women's Day at Women's Project's home, the Julia Miles Theater, 424West 55th Street.

The American Theatre Wing presented its annual spring gala, last night, Monday, June 1, 2009 at Cipriani 42nd Street (110 East 42nd Street). As in years past, the American Theatre Wing Spring Gala will brought together the best of Broadway. Tony Award winner Hugh Jackman served as the evening's Honorary Chair and Mrs. Schuyler G. Chapin, Lucia Hwong Gordon and Anthony D. Leeds served as Gala Co-Chairs.
The entertainment portion of the evening was produced by Class Productions and directed by Lauren Class Schneider. All proceeds benefit the education and outreach programs of the American Theatre Wing.

The American Theatre Wing is pleased to announce its annual spring gala, to be held Monday, June 1, 2009 at Cipriani 42nd Street (110 East 42nd Street). As in years past, the American Theatre Wing Spring Gala will bring together the best of Broadway and will include performances by Tony Award-Winners Kristin Chenoweth, Barbara Cook and Audra McDonald. Estelle Parsons, the legendary actress and star of Broadway's August: Osage County; Lucia Hwong Gordon, instrumentalist and composer; Susan K. Reed, editor-in-chief of O, The Oprah Magazine; and Susan Sobbott, President of American Express OPEN, will be declared Women of Achievement by Women's Project, America's oldest and largest stage company dedicated to producing theater created by women, at ceremonies Monday evening, March 2, in the grand ballroom of the Pierre Hotel, 2 East 61st Street at 5th Avenue.
