On Monday, October 29, Jim Caruso's Cast Party, Birdland's 'extreme' open mic, was proud to present a new monthly segment called MENTOR MONDAYS, which pairs up-and-coming singers and composers with established artists to create a featured performance for the historic Birdland stage. For the premiere segment, producer Trevor McQueen paired composer Eric Dietz, a recent Carnegie Mellon University graduate with one of the current stars of Big Fish, Kirsten Scott. PITTSBURGH – The second concert of the PNC Pops season celebrates one of America's most powerful and enduring musical artists with one of America's great multi-talented stars of stage and screen when Ann Hampton Callaway presents The Streisand Songbook on Nov. 14-17 at Heinz Hall with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra.

Starring in the Musical Salute were Kennedy Center Award Honoree/Tony Award winner Barbara Cook, four-time Tony Award winner Harvey Fierstein, Tony Award winner Lin-Manuel Miranda, record setting multi-Tony Award winner Harold Prince, beloved TV and Stage Icon Charlotte Rae, multiple Academy, Grammy, Drama Desk Award winner Stephen Schwartz, Academy and Grammy Award winner David Shire and nine time Tony Award winner Tommy Tune among others. The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra (ASO) is always proud to bring live music into the lives of its community, and the coming holiday season will be no different. From Pops to Gospel and Celtic Woman, to the family-favorite Kid's Christmas and traditional Messiah and "Christmas with the ASO," there is a live holiday music experience for everyone. Seven holiday programs will make up this year's 2013 Coca-Cola Holiday Concerts series, December 5-31, 2013.

Highlights this week include Hugh Jackman's BIRTHDAY BENEFIT Concert, a first look at A TIME TO KILL, PIPPIN marking 200 performances, and opening night at THE WINSLOW BOY on Broadway.

After 19 total cancelled performances and a loss of over $60,000, Adventure Theatre MTC has reopened and extended Goodnight Moon, recommended for all ages. An extension through November 3 has been added for this production as well as 7pm and 4:30pm all weekend show dates to accommodate ticketed patrons. A 501c3, Adventure Theatre MTC receives no federal funding, but is located on National Park Grounds in historicGlen Echo Park.

Come and be dazzled (and 'bedazzled') by Jamie Salzano's sparkling musical journey of a girl on the rocks reaching for the stars. The New York City-based cabaret singer will present 'Stardust and other sparkly things...' on Saturday, November 9 (4 p.m.);Tuesday, November 26 (7 p.m.); and Saturday, December 7 (4 p.m.) at The Metropolitan Room, 34 West 22nd Street (between 5th and 6th Avenues), New York City.

Lorna's Pink Party, the first of two benefit nights hosted by entertainment legend LORNA LUFT and featuring her special guest LIZA MINNELLI, played to a sold-out crowd at New York City's Birdland last evening. Along with a second appearance scheduled for October 21st, both evenings combined raised total of $120,000 to support the two charities.

The word "iconic" is bandied about with frequency these days, but last night's premiere installment of "Lorna's Pink Party" at Birdland was the happy scene for several recreations of historic showbiz moments. They'll all do it again next Monday, October 21 - but last night, hostess Lorna Luft and sister Liza Minnelli joined forces in a thrilling blast-from-the-past performance that left the jam-packed crowd cheering, stomping and begging for more. The Actors Fund, the nationwide human services organization that helps all professionals in performing arts and entertainment, last night presented the 2013 edition of Nothing Like a Dame: Lorna's Pink Party, a benefit for the Phyllis NewmanWomen's Health Initiative and the Dr. Philomena McAndrew Fund of Tower Cancer Research Foundation. This highly anticipated event, starring entertainment legend Lorna Luft with her special guest Liza Minnelli will continue on Monday, October 21st at 7 pm, at Birdland, 315 West 44th Street, New York City. The Provincetown Theatre in Provincetown, Massachusetts will host a week long workshop and subsequent reading of the new musical "Sybil" starring Liz Callaway (Baby, Miss Saigon) and Melissa van der Schyff (Broadway's Bonnie & Clyde and Big River).

Broadway veteran Maureen McGovern comes to Pittsburgh to perform at The Cabaret at Theater Square on Monday, November 4 at 7:30 p.m. This performance is part of the TRUST Cabaret Series, presented by the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, which provides the opportunity for audiences to experience some of the finest cabaret acts in the entertainment industry.

Principal Pops Conductor Jack Everly kicks off his 11th Pops season with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra (BSO) in The Streisand Songbook with Ann Hampton Callaway tonight, October 10 at 8 p.m. at the Music Center at Strathmore, Friday, October 11 and Saturday, October 12 at 8 p.m. at the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall, and Sunday, October 13 at 3 p.m. at the Meyerhoff. Singer-songwriter Ann Hampton Callaway will sing some of Barbra Streisand's biggest hits, including favorites from Broadway musicals as Funny Girl to film hits such as A Star is Born. Furthermore, Maestro Everly will lead Callaway in a post-concert performance in the Meyerhoff lobby on Friday, October 11. Please see below for complete program details.

For four magical nights in October, the Mabel Mercer Foundation present a sparkling array of America's leading cabaret stars. Among the 60 outstanding artists who will take the stage at the Rose Theater at Jazz at Lincoln Center from October 7th through 10th are multiple Grammy Award winner Jack Jones, Marilyn Maye, Steve Ross, Karen Akers, Nellie McKay, and Barbara Carroll.
