Paper Mill Playhouse released a block of great seats today for its holiday musical, Elf, for the week following Christmas. Expanded availability includes performances from December 27, 2014 through January 4, 2015. Based on the 2003 film starring Will Ferrell, Elf has a book by Thomas Meehan and Bob Martin, music by Matthew Sklar and lyrics by Chad Beguelin. Elf is directed by Eric Ankrim and choreographed by Josh Rhodes. Elf runs eight times a week at the Millburn, New Jersey, theater through January 4, 2015. Elf has been playing to many sold-out houses since November 26. Ted Sperling will conduct the New York Philharmonic and vocalists Laura Osnes and Santino Fontana in A Broadway Romance, a one-night-only Valentine's Day concert, Saturday, February 14, 2015, at 8:00 p.m. The program will feature songs from popular musicals ranging from Bernstein's West Side Story and Gershwin's Girl Crazy to Rodgers & Hammerstein's Carousel and Stephen Sondheim's Company, woven together to tell a unified narrative of a romance from beginning to end, from meeting to first date to falling in love to marriage.

According to the New York Times, Encores! has just announced the upcoming 2015 season for its Off-Center series. Included in the line-up is William Finn's A New Brain (running June 24-27), starring Jonathan Groff; Andrew Lippa's The Wild Party (running July 15-18), starring Off-Center veteran Sutton Foster; and Little Shop of Horrors (running July 1), with original cast member Ellen Greene.

This winter, Alexander Greenfield - Associate Director of the acclaimed Broadway production of Outside Mullingar and The City of Conversation at Lincoln Center - directs Libra Theater Company's production of Tom Diggs' new play KIND SOULS, performing January 16 - February 1 at Theatre 54. The cast includes Lindsey Kyler (The Seagull at New York Classical Theatre) and John Clarence Stewart (Choir Boy at Manhattan Theatre Club / The Alliance Theatre). Opening is slated for January 18.
