The L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center's Advocate & Gochis Galleries present Electric Summer, an exhibition of original artworks by New York-based artist Gina Raphaela and the renowned rock/funk/R & B music legend Nona Hendryx. A free opening reception, featuring a special performance piece by Ms. Hendryx, will take place on Thursday, July 11, 7-9 p.m., in the galleries, located at the Center's Village at Ed Gould Plaza. The exhibit is curated by Katie Pomerantz and will run through August 17.

Coming up this week, 54 BELOW, the performance venue located just below the legendary Studio 54 at 254 West 54th Street, presents some of the brightest stars from Broadway, cabaret, jazz and beyond. 54 Below also launched its series of late night events. The Oldest Established, Permanent Floating Monologue Night in New York is returning to the place where it all began-the Arthur Seelen Theatre at the Drama Bookshop--and you're invited to celebrate youth theatre and young actors, as they perform monologues from the new Applause Theatre and Cinema Book release: ONE ON ONE: PLAYING WITH A PURPOSE, MONOLOGUES FOR KIDS 7-15.

Gay & Lesbian Center's Lily Tomlin/Jane Wagner Cultural Arts Center proudly presents rock/funk/R & B legend Nona Hendryx, the two-fisted, avant-garde alumnus of the groundbreaking vocal group Labelle ('Lady Marmalade'), in a high-energy, multi-media-techno mix of new works as well as her classic material ('Busting Out,' 'Why Should I Cry?'). Hendryx's performance incorporates cutting-edge music technology, including a Plexiglas tutu with built-in speakers, wireless remote-controlled visuals, and the wired-up ability to manipulate digital instruments. With powerfully principled lyrics wrapped in funky grooves, soulful vocals, and driving, rock-charged rhythms, Hendryx is once again discovering new artistic territory and ushering in the future.

Actress/comedienne Jo Anne Worley needs no introduction. One of the stars of the classic TV variety show Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In, Worley will be at Welk Resorts in Escondido displaying her comic versatility as she presents her one-woman show Keep Laughin' June 26-30. In our recent chat, she did indeed have me laughing as she talked about her show, her take on what makes something funny, her favorite stars, and Actors and Others For Animals, which remains close to her heart. She's a tremendously joyous lady with terribly strong vibes about people and the biz and proves an overall endearing human being.

The 5th Avenue Theatre has announced complete casting for Hairspray in Concert, featuring some of Seattle's favorite musical theatre stars and the powerful voices of the 250-member Seattle Men's Chorus. Celebrating the 10th anniversary of Hairspray's 2002 Broadway debut, this unique concert event will play for six very special performances of glorious and irreverent John Waters-inspired wackiness (Friday-Sunday, June 20-23). In 2002, Hairspray was The 5th Avenue Theatre's first world premiere musical to head for Broadway where it won the 2003 Tony Award for Best Musical and launched The 5th's unprecedented track record for sending new works to New York. Now the smash hit musical comes home, as audiences have never seen it before.

Season three of the SHOWTIME web-to-television comedy series WEB THERAPY will premiere on Tuesday, July 23rd at 11 P.M. ET/PT. The ten, half-hour episodes star Emmy Award winner Lisa Kudrow as the delusional and narcissistic online therapist "Fiona Wallice," who treats patients via webcam.

SHOWTIME announces its line-up for 2013 Summer/Fall programming!

SALLY KELLERMAN, the Academy Award and Golden Globe nominated celebrated actress, voiceover virtuoso and singer, returns to Vicky's of Santa Fe Supper Club for her fourth appearance in the desert cities for "SALLY KELLERMAN LIVE!,"an evening of intimate and laid back music and conversation presented in her own inimitable style, backed by a Trio consisting of Andy Langham on Piano, Lyman Medeiros on Bass and Dick Weller on Drums. The ONE NIGHT ONLY performance will be presented by producer Bobbi Goodman at Vicky's of Santa Fe Supper Club; 45-100 Club Drive (Highway 111 at Club Drive); Indian Wells, CA 92210 on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 from 5:30 - 9:00 p.m. Kellerman's program will include some new takes on familiar songs.

ANN, the new critically acclaimed play written and performed by Emmy Award-winning actress and 2013 Outer Critics Circle Award Nominee Holland Taylor, is launching the Great American Women Talkback Series, which will feature post-show discussions hosted by Tony and Emmy Award winner Lily Tomlin, Tony award winning playwright and activist Eve Ensler, feminist activist and writer Gloria Steinem, and award winning political humorist Kate Clinton. All talkbacks are complimentary with ticket purchase to ANN at the Vivian Beaumont Theatre (150 West 65th Street).
