New York Comedy Festival Presents THE ART OF COMEDY in Little Italy and at Carolines on Broadway, Beg. 11/3

The New York Comedy Festival presents, in association with Vandalog.com, Little Italy, and Montana Cans, announced today the addition of "The Art of Comedy," a series of events and art installations involving New York's most talented street artists that will take place this November. "The Art of Comedy" brings together acclaimed artists Ron English, Hanksy, and Gilf! who will showcase their respective humorous works of art in an effort to bring smiles to the faces of millions of New Yorkers.

Yale Repertory Theatre, in a co-production with American Repertory Theater, presents the world premiere of Marie Antoinette by David Adjmi, directed by Rebecca Taichman. Marie Antoinette will be performed at Yale Repertory Theatre (1120 Chapel Street) October 26 through November 17. Opening Night is Thursday, November 1. The cast includes Fred Arsenault, Hannah Cabell, David Greenspan, Marin Ireland, Vin Knight, Jo Lampert, Polly Lee, Steven Rattazzi, Jake Silbermann, Teale Sperling, Brian Wiles, and Ashton Woerz.

ENSEMBLE STUDIO THEATRE/LA is introducing a new performance space: "The Speakeasy." Located at their Atwater Village Theatre home, "The Speakeasy" will open with two world premiere comedies about relationships: the rolling world premiere of THE FISHERMAN'S WIFE, written by Steve Yockey and directed by Gates McFadden, which was originally produced in 2012 by Impact Theatre in Berkeley with EST/LA and the world premiere of DOESN'T ANYONE KNOW WHAT A PANCREAS IS?, written by Carole Real and directed by Jenny O'Hara. Alfa Art Gallery to Curate Exhibits at George Street Playhouse

Two New Brunswick-based Arts organizations (aided by a third) have announced a new partnership. Alfa Art Gallery, which has called New Brunswick home since 2008, will partner with George Street Playhouse in presenting a series of rotating exhibits to be presented throughout the Theatre's 2012-13 season. The exhibit, co-sponsored by The New Brunswick Cultural Center, will be changed to correspond with the opening of each of the Playhouse's five productions. Located in George Street Playhouse's Cabaret lobby space, each display will be available to view during regular box office operating hours.

George Street Playhouse and Artistic Director David Saint have announced that full casting for their 2012-13 season opener, One Slight Hitch, has been completed. Joining the previously-announced Mark Linn-Baker will be Clea Alsip, Rosie Benton, Lauren Ashley Carter, Scott Drummond, Lizbeth Mackay and Christopher Tocco. Helmed by Joe Grifasi, this tale of matrimonial mayhem will begin performances tonight, October 2 and continue through Sunday, October 28. Opening night, with a dessert reception sponsored by Stage Left and Catherine Lombardi restaurants, will be Friday, October 5.
