According to today's New York Post, Christopher Abbott, who stars in the HBO comedy GIRLS, will be exiting the series due to creative differences with creator and writer Lena Dunham.

Well, here we are at the season finale and Hannah has all but lost it. In fact, going into this episode pretty much every character on GIRLS has officially become the very worst human being they could possibly be. Feuds boil over between Blaine and Sue about his lack of keeping up with the Cheerios, also Ryder gets a dash of drama from Unique for how he treated Marley and ruined her relationship with Jake. Will and Finn meet to discuss the assignment, but Will pulls out the big guns and dishes some harsh honesty, leaving Finn to man up and accept the challenge.

Here we are at the penultimate episode of GIRLS' second season - a season, that, well, hasn't felt entirely like GIRLS. At least not the narrow-in-scope, boho-Brooklyn series we came to know from the first go around last year. It's turned into more of a depressing mish-mash of millennial problems and bad life decisions, that constantly make me question my own. Lena Dunham has taken GIRLS to a dark place, occasionally good, but for the most part, mediocre.
