The winners of the 2009 Directors Guild of America Outstanding Directorial Achievement Awards and the recipients of the Guild's 2010 Career Achievement Awards were announced last night during the 62nd Annual DGA Awards Dinner at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza in Los Angeles. Kathryn Bigelow won the DGA's Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Feature Film for The Hurt Locker.
Following the welcome by DGA President Taylor Hackford to an audience of more than 1,600 guests, director/actor Carl Reiner hosted the ceremony.

The Aussielo Files of Entertainment Weekly today reveals the identity of the third Gleek addition debuting in Season 2. The Files reported earlier in the month that the first new character is an 'Eve Harrington-esque rival for Rachel,' while the second is a 'gay jock-slash-boyfriend for Kurt.'

GLEE: The Music Volumes 1 & 2 Go Gold

It's no surprise that FOX's powerhouse new hit GLEE's soundtracks are popular, and Columbia Records have confirmed just how popular they are: both soundtracks (Glee: The Music, Volume 1, and Volume 2) released last fall have been certified Gold by RIAA for sales in excess of 500,000 units. Volume 1 entered the Billboard Top 200 Album Chart at #4 in its debut week, and Volume 2 debuted at #3. Both volumes continue to be in the top 20 best selling albums this week. GLEE is selling extremely well in digital sales as well: over 4 million songs from GLEE have been downloaded - and that's just since last May.
Jane Lynch to Wed Longtime Girlfriend

GLEE's Jane Lynch will wed her longtime girlfriend, Dr. Lara Embry, according to published reports. Embry is a psychologist who made news last year for her involvement in a custody case with a former partner that made headlines in Florida. For her role in the case, Embry received a Justice Award from the NCLR. Lynch tells the New York Times that the wedding will take place in May.

In addition, the drama 'Grey Gardens,' inspired by the 1975 documentary of the same name, was named TV Drama of the Year. The Dorian Awards are presented by the newly formed Gay and Lesbian Entertainment Critics Association.

As previously reported, GLEE returns to FOX on April 13 at 9pm on Tuesdays, and while the show will be off the air for the summer, the GLEE cast is going live on tour by June. Today, the first tour cities have been revealed! According to gleefan.com, 'The cities that have been 100% confirmed are: Orlando, New York, LA, Dallas, Denver, Minneapolis, and Portland.'

GLEE co-creator Ryan Murphy talked details of the second half of the first season, and how GLEE is taking it slow - that is, they will not be making it to Nationals by the end of the first season. The first thirteen episodes were GLEE's road to sectionals, and the last nine episodes of the first season will focus on regionals and New Directions nemesis Vocal Adrenaline.
