Not Man Apart (NMA), the Los Angeles-based physical theatre ensemble since 2004, presents John Farmanesh-Bocca's adaptation of Roman Philosopher and Playwright Seneca the Younger's tragedy Hercules Furens (The Madness of Hercules), opening tonight, June 6 and closing Sunday, June 23, 2013.

Chromolume Theatre has announced its next production, Love Songs, with book, music and lyrics by Steven Cagan, and directed by Kay Cole. Featuring orchestrations and arrangements by Doug Walter and music direction byRichard Berent, there will be one preview performance on June 21, andopening is set for Saturday, June 22 at 8pm. Love Songs will play a limited engagement through July 28 only.

"Neva," Guillermo Calderon's politically charged play, will open Wednesday, June 12 as a DouglasPlus event at the Center Theatre Group/Kirk Douglas Theatre in Culver City. "Neva," which is presented in collaboration with South Coast Repertory and La Jolla Playhouse, will be performed in the theatre's rehearsal room, Upstairs @ KDT, and will play for eight performances only through June 16, 2013 (including one preview on June 11).

Third Rail Repertory Theatre's Mentorship Company presents Neighborhood 3: Requisition of Doom by Jennifer Haley, directed by Ryan Mooney with designs by Kaye Blankenship. The final production in Third Rail's inaugural Mentorship Class will run June 15 - 23, 2013.

Chance Theater presents the third show of its 15th Anniversary Season - the hilarious and irreverent emo rock musical Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson by Alex Timbers, with music and lyrics by Michael Friedman, and directed by Kari Hayter. Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson begins previews on July 5, opens July 12 and continues through August 4 at Chance Theater.

Tony Award winner Phylicia Rashad, who directed Westport Country Playhouse's "A Raisin in the Sun" last fall, will be honored at the Playhouse's annual fundraising gala on the evening of Monday, September 16. Proceeds will benefit the non-profit, professional producing theater, now in its 83rd season - its work on stage, with schools, and throughout the community. The gala includes a one-night-only performance by Broadway talent and surprise guests.
