On April 24, American Theater Group, New Jersey's newest professional theater company, will present, direct from its success at the 2012 New York Musical Theatre Festival, Jonathan Brielle's new musical Himself and Nora at its new home, Hamilton Stage in Rahway, New Jersey.

The cast is set for "The Nether," a gripping new play by Jennifer Haley in which the moral complexity of the increasingly pervasive and addictive world of virtual reality is explored. "The Nether" will have its world premiere at the Kirk Douglas Theatre, March 19 through April 14, 2013. The opening is scheduled for March 24.

La Jolla Playhouse announces a fifth production for its 2013/14 season: the world premiere of The Tallest Tree, a new play with music written and performed by Daniel Beaty (Emergency, Through the Night), directed by Moises Kaufman (I Am My Own Wife, The Laramie Project). A co-production with Kansas City Repertory Theatre, The Tallest Tree will run in the Playhouse's Sheila and Hughes Potiker Theatre October 9 - November 3, 2013. The piece is produced in association with Tectonic Theater Project.

This compelling tale of a 1960s Puerto Rican family dreaming and dancing its way toward show business will be helmed by director Giovanna Sardelli. The Publicists of the International Cinematographers Guild (IATSE Local 600) will present iconic actor Kirk Douglas with its 2013 Lifetime Achievement Award at its 50th Annual Awards Luncheon to be held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Friday, February 22.

Erich Bergen, currently starring as Billy Crocker in the national tour of Anything Goes, is set to bring his one-night-only concert to San Francisco's premiere nightclub, Live At The RRazz, on Monday, January 28 at 8pm. Anything Goes is currently playing at the Golden Gate Theatre through February 3.
