The new musical Kinky Boots, from four-time Tony Award-winner Harvey Fierstein (book), Grammy Award-winning rock icon Cyndi Lauper (Music & Lyrics), Tony Award-winner Jerry Mitchell (Director & Choreographer), will begin preview performances on Broadway at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre (302 West 45th Street) today, March 3, 2013. Opening night is set for Thursday, April 4, 2013.

The pair will discuss their collaborative experience on the hotly anticipated new musical; the evening will also include a performance by Kinky Boots stars Stark Sands and Billy Porter. Legacy Recordings will release Let's Face The Music And Dance, a collection of new studio performances by Willie Nelson and Family, on Tuesday, April 16. The album is the first in a series of releases and events celebrating the artist's 80th birthday year.

TBS's upcoming competition series King of the Nerds is set to welcome several prominent guest judges, including George Takei, from STAR TREK; Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes, best known for portraying Jay & Silent Bob; Riki Lindhome and Kate Micucci from the comedy duo Garfunkel & Oates; Adam Busch from TBS's MEN AT WORK; costume designer and international model and cosplay entertainer Yaya Han; USC debate team coach Gordon Stables; Bravo's TOP CHEF ALL-STARS winner Chef Richard Blais; and musician and rapper MC Frontalot.

The Screen Actors Guild Foundation in partnership with Film Independent, the Independent Filmmaker Project, and the NYIT Auditorium on Broadway are teaming up again to host the 2013 Film Independent Spirit Awards New York Screening Series from January 16 to February 6.
