The one and only Trevor Ashley brings the Australian Premiere of HEATHERS THE MUSICAL, a darkly, hilarious comedy to Hayes Theatre Co. from 16 July. HEATHERS THE MUSICAL is based on the 1988 cult film Heathers that starred Winona Ryder and Christian Slater.

Iden Payne Award for Best Musical (SILENCE, THE MUSICAL) is pleased to announce the regional premiere of HEATHERS, THE MUSICAL.  Keeping with the "cult movie" theme, DMP will produce a second "late night" production to give Austin its first CULT MOVIE MUSICAL DOUBLE FEATURE with THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW.  The two productions will play in repertory at the Salvage Vanguard Theatre from June 18 thru July 11.

Featuring two smash hit musicals - GREEN DAY'S AMERICAN IDIOT and HEATHERS: THE MUSICAL, our season will also include two hot and exciting contemporary plays: Aaron Posner's bold new riff on Chekhov's THE SEAGULL entitled STUPID f**kING BIRD - and a kind of co-production with Arizona Theatre Company - Laura Eason's steamy SEX WITH STRANGERS.

The Program Launch for the second half of 2015 shows that the Independent Music Theatre team comprising Luckiest Productions (David Campbell, Lisa Campbell and Richard Carroll), Neglected Musicals (Michelle Guthrie), and Neil Gooding Productions, the driving force behind Hayes Theatre Company, have no intention of slowing down are staying true to their vision to provide a permanent home for small-scale musical theatre and cabaret.

The Annie Russell Theatre, the longest running theatre in Central Florida, announces their 83rd season! Running September 2015 through April 2016, the season explores taboos - from marijuana to religion, infertility to second marriages.

The cult classic musical Reefer Madness, with book and lyrics by Kevin Murphy and book and music by Dan Studney, was presented in concert at 54 Below on April 19 and 20, featuring original cast members from the production and movie, Christian Campbell, John Kassir, Harry S.
