HISTORY(R) continues its phenomenal momentum as HATFIELDS & MCCOYS garners 16 Emmy(R) nominations the most Primetime Emmy(R) nominations in the network's history.

Broadway stars and theater-related shows were strongly represented in this year's list of the 2012 Emmy Nominations including Bobby Cannavale, Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series for Modern Family and Christine Baranski - Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for her role as Diane Lockhart in The Good Wife.

Nominations for this year's Primetime Emmy Awards were announced today, Thursday, July 19, from the Leonard H. Goldenson Theatre at Television Academy headquarters in the NoHo Arts District of Los Angeles.

Starring Heather Headley as Rachel Marron and Lloyd Owen as Frank Farmer in the roles made famous on film by the late Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner, tickets for THE BODYGUARD went on sale on May 1, taking bookings until 27 April 2013 for the production's first booking period. Previews begin on 6 November 2012, twenty years after the release of the Oscar nominated film. Opening night is 5 December. The casting for the Hollywood Bowl's production of THE PRODUCERS is complete with the announcement of Dane Cook - one of the country's most popular comedians - as Franz Liebkind. Cook joins previously announced cast members Richard Kind as Max Bialystock, Jesse Tyler Ferguson as Leo Bloom, Roger Bart as Carmen Ghia, Gary Beach as Roger De Bris, and Rebecca Romijn as Ulla.

The Broadcast Television Journalists Association (BTJA), an offshoot of the Broadcast Film Critics Association, today announced the winners of the 2nd annual Critics' Choice Television Awards. HOMELAND took home the prize for Best Drama Series while Community won in the Best Comedy Series category.
