THE BRIGHTNESS OF HEAVEN, a new play by best-selling author Laura Pedersen, directed by Ludovica Villar-Hauser is now playing Off-Broadway the Cherry Lane Studio Theatre (38 Commerce Street, Manhattan). Presented by The VH Theatrical Development Foundation, THE BRIGHTNESS OF HEAVEN began performances on October 16th and opened on October 26th. Laura Pedersen, renowned author, is the playwright for Brightness of Heaven no onstage at Cherry Lane Studio Theatre in New York City through December 14th. Broadwayworld.com had the opportunity to interview Pedersen about some of her inspirations, her fascinating career and the show.

"Children of Paradise," a play with mime that draws its inspiration from the classic of French film, comes to life in a physically demanding new staging written and directed by Richmond Shepard. With music direction by Harrison Wade, and a cast of 14, "Children of Paradise" parts the curtains on a small French theatre in the 1800's, The Funambules, where Jean Baptiste Gaspard Debureau was the first mime to play Pierrot as the leading character, supplanting Harlequin.

The award winning play from Israel 'Women's Minyan' about a respected Rabbi's wife who flees her abusive marriage and puts herself and her society on trial is coming to New York. It will be presented in an exclusive staged reading this Monday 9/26 3pm & 7pm (reception).
