Revisiting one of the great performances in the history of modern American musical theater, local theater devotees will have the opportunity to once again experience the brilliant TOPOL as he performs his Oscar-nominated role of Tevye in his farewell tour of the multi Tony Award-winning Broadway musical FIDDLER ON THE ROOF. Playing Tuesday, October 6 through Sunday, October 18, FIDDLER marks the opening show of the Broadway Across America-Ft. Lauderdale 2009-2010 season which will present six-major musical productions presented by Florida Theatrical Association at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts.

After a 48 year absence, Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) presents the first new Broadway production of Bye Bye Birdie as the inaugural production of the new Henry Miller's Theatre (124 West 43rd Street) beginning Thursday, September 10th, 2009 with an official opening on Thursday, October 15th, 2009. This will be a limited engagement through January 10th, 2010.

Producers David Richenthal, Jack Viertel, and Alan D. Marks have announced that the box office opens today for the Broadway production of the critically-acclaimed New York City Center Encores! production of Finian's Rainbow, which transfers to Broadway's St. James Theatre, 246 West 44 Street, beginning Thursday, October 8 at 8pm, with an opening set for Thursday, October 29 at 6:45pm.
