54 BELOW, is proud to announce that Tony Award winner Andrea Martin will play a three-night engagement of her show "Andrea Martin: Laughing Matters" at 54 Below October 9, 10 and 11 at 7PM. (Originally scheduled to appear at the venue last June, Martin was forced to postpone her engagement due to a bronchial infection.) Seth Rudetsky (Sirius XM Satellite Radio, The Ritz) will join Andrea at the piano.

While nobody ever said musical theatre was easy – at least, nobody with any real knowledge of the art – you would think that in writing a musical about the first worldwide beloved figure of the 20th Century there wouldn't be too much trouble establishing empathy.  But the surprisingly dry and emotionless Chaplin, presented in a respectably strong Broadway production, tries to cram so many facts into its two acts that there's Little Room left for feeling.

Coming up this week, 54 BELOW, the new performance venue located just below the legendary Studio 54 at 254 West 54th Street, presents some of the brightest stars from Broadway, rock-n-roll, the jazz world and the downtown scene, including Ann Hampton Callaway, Darlene Love, Janis Siegel, Barbara Carroll, Nathan Lee Graham and more!

In the last week the stars came out to 54 Below to see engagements featuring Linda Lavin with Billy Stritch, Eden Espinoza and Jason Robert Brown. Among those in the audience were Carol Burnett, Joy Behar, Hal Prince, John Davidson, Penny Fuller and Steve Bakunis.

Through 15, Jason Robert Brown is bringing his show to NYC's newest theatrical hot spot, 54 Below, Broadway's Nightclub, for seven performances. To celebrate his first time at the new club, he's bringing Shoshana Bean, and featuring music from Honeymoon In Vegas and The Bridges of Madison County as well as his forthcoming solo album (in addition to the usual favorites). Christie Brinkley, one of the world's most successful supermodels, will make her Boston debut in the National Tour of the Tony Award-winning hit musical "Chicago." She will star as merry murderess Roxie Hart with John O'Hurley as Billy Flynn in a strictly limited 6-show engagement at the Citi Performing Arts Center Wang Theatre, November 1-4. Press night is set for Thursday, November 1 at 7:30 pm. Tickets go on sale on Friday, September 7 at 10 am.
