Metropolis Theatricals Las Vegas LLC will debut FOLLIES, Stephen Sondheim and James Goldman’s musical production, in a star-studded spectacle featuring a 45 person cast, including 12 of Las Vegas’s original showgirls.

On Sunday, May 29, The Smith Center for the Performing Arts hosted the fourth annual Nevada High School Musical Theater Awards, recognizing the extraordinary talent and sheer dedication found in Nevada's high school theater students. The event welcomed 19 nominees to compete at the regional finals inside Reynolds Hall, concluding the 2015 - 2016 school year with the announcement of this year's winners.

Las Vegas Weekly celebrated its 15th anniversary in true Las Vegas fashion with #Unscripted, a night that featured dozens of the city's elite, at the Havana Room inside The New Tropicana Las Vegas on Wednesday, Dec. 18. The Smith Center for the Performing Arts welcomes guests to kick off the holiday season with a celebratory concert in the bedecked Symphony Park. On Sunday, Dec. 8 at 5 p.m., Cabaret Jazz resident and beloved Las Vegas entertainer, Clint Holmes, will launch the season's festivities with a performance that will include special guests from the Las Vegas community.

'Jim Caruso's Cast Party' celebrated the extraordinary talent in Las Vegas. Headliner Donny Osmond showed up to support his pals Caruso and musical director Billy Stritch, and crooned a sensitive 'Moon River' for his mentor, Andy Williams.

Jim Caruso's Cast Party, the extreme open mic that has been running at Birdland in NYC for the past eight years, made it's debut at the Alexis Park Resort in Las Vegas on April 24 and 25.
