ALKY Returns to Peoples Improv Theatre, 9/12 & 19

After a successful run earlier this summer at the PIT (People's Improv Theatre), ALKY: only the luckiest victims die is back! ALKY is a real teen drinking drama workshopped in Christian schools in the 80s in Texas and we perform it with twistedly funny adults who are 'under the influence'. Come see Ms. O'Hara and the Marumsco Valley Players perform Jerome McDonough's hard-hitting teen drama, ALKY, while they try to hold their liquor.

(Lost and Found, last years Fringe Award winner, Small Engine Repair). RECOVERY will run from Sunday, August 21 - Saturday, August 27at The LES' Kraine Theatre (85 East 4th Street).

Alky was written by Jerome McDonough more than 20 years ago and was intended for teens to perform in schools for other teens. Davenport has been busy revising the script and creating a special role for Diamond to play, the role of Dustin Diamond, himself.

The Awesome 80s Prom will celebrate its fifth anniversary on Saturday, September 12 at the famed nightclub, Webster Hall (125 East 11th Street). While New York audiences continue to party like it's 1989, the Off-Broadway phenomenon has also enjoyed runs in Boston (still going strong!), Minneapolis, Baltimore, and Chicago. And, The Awesome 80s Prom is now available for licensing. It has already been performed at many regional theaters and high schools across the country.
