The September Play Project, or #SPP, launches its inaugural year with a series of new works on the rooftop space of The Delancey, 168 Delancey Street, New York, NY 10002 on September 13th and 14, 2014. Both performances will be at 5 PM. The plays are all 6 minutes in length and set outdoors. The series was conceived by co­producers Jenny Gomez and Jessica Mazo. The aim of the Project is to provide a diverse set of artists with a comfortable platform where they can create, with full production support. 100% of the proceeds from ticket sales will be split evenly between all the playwrights, actors, and directors that have volunteered their time and talent for the project.

It's the perfect time to catch up with 'The Residuals,' the hilarious New York City based comedic web series set in the world of television commercials and auditions. Created by and starring husband-and-wife team Michael Paul Smith and Gillian Pensavalle, 'The Residuals' is inspired by their experiences as actors auditioning for commercials in New York City. Season One episodes average about 7 minutes and give viewers an inside view at the bizarre world of auditions, callbacks, costume fittings and commercial shoots. The long-running Off-Broadway interactive show THE AWESOME 80s PROM has a new place to cut footloose this spring and summer! The production will return for five Saturday evening performances only -- today, May 17 through September 20 -- at New York's hottest new club 42West, located at the bottom of The OUT Hotel on West 42nd Street.

This summer, an award winning quartet of playwrights, Tony Glazer (In The Daylights, Film: Junction), John Pollono (Small Engine Repair, Lost and Found), Robin Rothstein (The Game Boy, On Deaf Ears), and Mark Jason Williams (Straight Faced Lies, Recovery), will join together for a night of one acts entitled Why Bother? directed by Andrew Block. Why Bother? Is being presented by Man Down Productions as part of the Planet Connections Festival. It begins performances tonight, May 14 and runs through June 1 at the Paradise Factory.
