SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark (Michael Cohl and Jeremiah J. Harris, Producers) features direction by Philip William McKinley (The Boy From Oz), original direction by Tony Award-winner Julie Taymor (The Lion King, Across The Universe, Frida), music and lyrics by 22-time Grammy Award-winners Bono and The Edge, and book co-written by Taymor, Glen Berger (Underneath The Lintel) and Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa (Fantastic Four and Spider-Man comics, 'Big Love'). The cast is led by Reeve Carney as ‘Peter Parker/Spider-Man,' Tony Award nominee Jennifer Damiano as ‘Mary Jane Watson,' T.V. Carpio as ‘Arachne,' Patrick Page as ‘Norman Osborn/Green Goblin.' In the video below, Broadway veteran SEbastian Bach chats about why he thinks he would have made the perfect Green Goblin. Bach has previously starred on stage in Jekyll & Hyde, Jesus Christ Superstar, and The Rocky Horrow Show.

Dance New Amsterdam (DNA), NYC's foremost progressive dance education and performance center, presents the world premiere of Compagnie Julie Bour's Why Now?. Developed through DNA's artist residency program, the premiere of Why Now? marks the culmination of the three-year process and the completion of the three-chapter work. The performances will take place October 21-22, 8:00 p.m.; October 23, 3:00 p.m.

Esta tarde el centro de la capital se ha iluminado de manera muy especial para dar la bienvenida al musica El Rey León que se estrena oficialmente el próximo 21 de Octubre en el Teatro Lope de Vega de Madrid. A las 20h de la tarde el Alcalde de Madrid Alberto Ruiz Gallardón ha dado la bienvenida a la compañía en el Palacio de Comunicaciones y la fachada principal del Edificio de Correos ha proyectado la cara de Simba, el mítico logo del musical. Además Carlos Rivera y Daniela Pobega han interpretado el tema 'Siente Un Nuevo Amor en Ti'.

Pittsburgh Irish & Classical Theatre is hosting a benefit screening of Julie Taymor's theatrical film version of The Tempest, and will include an introduction and reception with the film's producer. The film stars Helen Mirren as a cross-gendered Prospera, alongside an all-star cast including Djimon Hounsou, Alan Cummings, David Strathairn, Chris Cooper, Russell Brand, Reeve Carney (currently in Spiderman: Turn Off the Dark on Broadway) and Alfred Molina.
