Lauren Kennedy, of Vanities and Spamalot, Katie Adams, current Galinda standby in Wicked, Lucia Spina, last seen in South Pacific, and Katie Thompson join Here's to the Ladies who CARE: A Benefit for CARE on February 9th at New World Stages.
They join the previously announced Becca Ayers, Heather Ayers, Kerry Butler, Kristy Cates, Erin Davie, Lori Eure, Lauren Kennedy, Lindsay Mendez, Cary Michele Miller, Keira Naughton, Julie Reiber, Jenny Powers, and Megan Sikora all singing some of their favorite songs for an eclectic evening of music to raise money and awareness for CARE.

Some of Broadway's favorite leading ladies will be taking the stage on Monday, February 9th at New World Stages in Here's to the Ladies who CARE: A Benefit for CARE. The evening will feature the talents of Becca Ayers, Heather Ayers, Kerry Butler, Kristy Cates, Erin Davie, Lori Eure, Lindsay Mendez, Cary Michele Miller, Keira Naughton, Julie Reiber, Jenny Powers, and Megan Sikora all singing some of their favorite songs for an eclectic evening of music to raise money and awareness for CARE.

Student Tickets Are Now Available For CARE Benefit

Student tickets are now available at the New World Stages box office for Here's to the Ladies who CARE: A Benefit for CARE. For $26.50, with a valid student ID, students will not only learn about CARE, but also get to hear some of their favorite Broadway performers sing. Plus, they will get to attend the post-concert reception where they'll have the opportunity to bid on special 'student only' silent auction items such as memorabilia signed by some of Broadways biggest stars.

On February 16th, some of today's brightest Broadway talent will celebrate the compositions of songwriter Katie Thompson.
Those scheduled to appear at the 7pm Birdland concert include Lisa Brescia, Carly Jibson, Carrie Manolakos, Julie Reiber and Kate Shindle. More performers will be announced shortly.
Thompson, whom will accompany each performer as well as herself on the piano, will be joined by cellists Mairi Dorman-Phaneuf and Allison
Seidner.
Katie Thompson is one of the most celebrated, undiscovered talent in New York. Katie originated the roles of 'Sariah' in THE ARK and 'Connie Lou' in Michael McLean's THE FORGOTTEN CAROLS, a role she owned for 7 years of touring everywhere from Honolulu to Washington, D.C. Readings: Giant; Piece. As a songwriter, Katie was nominated for a Pearl Award, an Indie Award, and on the MAC ballot for her original songs 'I Can Be Bought', 'It Doesn't Hurt', and for NEW YORK DEBUT - FEMALE. Katie's compositions can be heard on her debut CD 'What I've Done Right' and KT: Live. As a singer, Katie can be heard on the song 'Say Goodbye' on Scott Alan's debut CD 'Dreaming Wide Awake.'

POZ's 'Bacharch to the Future' Fundraiser brought music and promise to the New World Stages on Monday, December 1, 2008, World AIDS Day. The premier performance of Bacharach to the Future, a fund-raiser for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, honored music legend Burt Bacharach, the composer of 'That's What Friends Are For,' the pioneering recording that benefited The Foundation for AIDS Research (amfAR) in 1985.
