Broadway's Julie Halston, currently featured in the hit revival of Kaufman and Hart's You Can't Take It With You, will host the 5th Annual Broadway Belts for PFF! (Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation) on February 23 at 7:00pm at Birdland Jazz Club (315 West 44th Street) as part of 'Broadway at Birdland' series.

The 10th annual edition of Broadway Backwards will celebrate some of the most memorable numbers from previous years and feature the return of many of the show's most popular performers. The one-night-only performance is produced by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and benefits BC/EFA and the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center of New York.

The veteran actor joins the kooky Sycamore family and reunites with James Earl Jones in the play that's made audiences howl since the 1930s .

Julie Halston stops the show with her inspired drunkwalk in Act Two of YOU CAN'T TAKE IT WITH YOU. But she has greater aspirations than simply comedy. To carry over the holiday spirit into the new year, cast members from the You Can't Take It With You, Pulitzer Prize-winning revival by Moss Hart and George S. Kaufman, volunteered their time and worked as a group at God's Love We Deliver. Anna Chlumsky, Julie Halston, Byron Jennings, Fran Kranz, Reg Rogers and Nick Corley helped to prepare meals in the kitchen yesterday, and you can check out photos from the special day below!

An all-new THEATER TALK features two actresses giving broad, touching performances in the revival of Kaufman and Hart's You Can't Take It With You - Elizabeth Ashley (as Russian Countess Olga Katrina, reduced to serving tables) and Julie Halston (as alcoholic actress Gay Wellington) - talking about their run in the play, continuing through Feb. 22 at the Longacre Theatre, and the sheer enjoyment they have being in a classic American comedy that brings gales of laughter over the footlights. They also share tips on playing comedy and the Zen of applying stage makeup.

To carry over the holiday spirit into the new year, cast members from the You Can't Take It With You Pulitzer Prize-winning revival by Moss Hart and George S. Kaufman will be volunteering their time and working as a group at God's Love We Deliver. The cast will be helping prepare meals in the kitchen on Tuesday, January 20th for a three-hour afternoon shift.

Anna Chlumsky will take over for Rose Byrne in the hit Broadway revival of YOU CAN'T TAKE IT WITH YOU. The two-time Emmy nominated actress will be joined by Richard Thomas, who will replace Mark Linn-Baker. Both actors will join the production tonight, January 6th.

The North American premiere of Olivier Award nominee Duncan Macmillan's highly acclaimed new play, Every Brilliant Thing, opened last night, December 14 at Barrow Street Theatre (27 Barrow Street). Featuring Jonny Donahoe and directed by George Perrin, the Paines Plough and Pentabus Theatre Company production of Every Brilliant Thing comes to New York fresh off its smash hit, much-raved-over engagements in London and Edinburgh, as well as a UK tour. The 26th annual edition of Gypsy of the Year raised a record-breaking $5,229,611 for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, thanks to six weeks of fundraising by 64 Broadway, Off-Broadway and national touring companies. The grand total was announced Tuesday, December 9, 2014, by special guests Hugh Jackman, Nathan Lane and Judith Light after two stellar performances of original dances, songs and skits by more than 200 'gypsies' from Broadway and Off-Broadway shows.
