Meet Your New Principal: Jenn Gambatese Joins SCHOOL OF ROCK

Jenn Gambatese has been tapped to join the cast of SCHOOL OF ROCK on Broadway, succeeding Sierra Boggess in the role of Rosalie Mullins after Boggess plays her last performance on August 9th, 2016. No stranger to the stage, Gambatese has originated the Broadway roles of Jane in Tarzan and Natalie in All Shook Up, played Glinda in the first national tour of Wicked, and was also on Broadway in: Hairspray, Is He Dead?, A Year with Frog and Toad, and made her B'way debut in Footloose.

Based on the children's novels by P.L. Travers as well as the classic 1964 Walt Disney film of the same name, Mary Poppins tells the story of a nanny who arrives on the doorstep of the Jane & Michael Banks. Mary Poppins takes the children on many magical and memorable adventures, but Jane and Michael aren't the only ones upon whom she has a profound effect. Using a combination of magic and common sense, Mary Poppins must teach the family members how to value each other again.

She's returned to the stage to join Samuel West in Noel Coward's comedy Present Laughter - currently touring the UK.

If North Shore Music Theatre's production of Mary Poppins was conceived to prove Murphy's Law right (Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong), then producer Bill Hanney and director Kevin P. Hill have crafted a masterpiece. Perhaps it's best described through the disbelief of Michael Banks following an afternoon spent rollicking in the park with his mystical nanny; 'Did that really just happen?' It certainly did and with a calamitous kerplunk.
