Secret Theatre Musicals is pleased to announce their production of THE WEDDING SINGER. With music by Matthew Sklar, book by Chad Beguelin and Tim Herlihy and lyrics by Chad Beguelin, this exciting production is directed and choreographed by Taryn Turney and will play a 3-week limited engagement. Performances will begin Friday, August 9th and continue through Saturday, August 24th at The Secret Theatre. Based on the blockbuster movie, the stage musical version of The Wedding Singer takes the stage of the Grand Theatre in a Road Company Theater production starring Tim Rinehart as Robbie Hart and Amy Sprouse as Julia Sullivan, the roles made famous by Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore on the big screen. The Wedding Singer, an entertaining romantic comedy, will run May 2 - May 18 (Thursdays at 7pm; Friday and Saturdays at 8pm; Sundays at 2pm) in the Grand Theatre, located at 405 S. The NH Theater Awards celebrated another successful season of Youth, Community and Professional theater across the state with their yearly awards ceremony.

The nominations are out for the 11th Annual New Hampshire Theatre Awards. Like Broadway has the Tony Awards, NH has the NHTA's. Those awards will be handed out on Saturday January 26th at the Stockbridge Theatre on the campus of Pinkerton Academy in Derry, New Hampshire. The award ceremony begins at 7pm.

Last night's sneak peek preview of Matthew Perry's NBC sitcom 'Go On,' which co-stars Tony Award winners Laura Benanti and Julie White, drew 16.1 million viewers overall, following primetime Olympic coverage. The special averaged a 5.6 rating in adults 18-49, according to 'fast official' ratings from Nielsen Media Research.

Immediately following tonight's coverage of the 2012 Summer Olympic Games from London, NBC will air the complete first episode of its new comedy series GO ON, starring Matthew Perry and Tony Award winners Laura Benanti and Julie White. Fans of the 1998 film The Wedding Singer, which proved an unqualified hit for its stars Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore, will relish seeing the quirky story revisited on the big stage of the Carpenter Center in Long Beach. In 2006 The Wedding Singer was turned into a Broadway musical with the identical Ridgefield, New Jersey characters, but with some alterations in plotline. What counts most is the upbeat 80s humor, which the stage version retains in spades, as well as unlimited heart. MTW (Musical Theatre West)'s regional premiere does the show proud under Larry Raben's dynamite direction and sporting a rollicking cast.
