Theatre enthusiasts packed the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts tonight to hear Founding Artistic Director Robert Kelley and Managing Director Phil Santora of TheatreWorks Silicon Valley unveil the lineup for the company's 48th season.

AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS might make your head spin like a globe. Opening at the Omaha Community Playhouse with five versatile actors directed by Carl Beck, this play adapted by Mark Brown from the Jules Verne's classic novel, takes us on a whirlwind adventure.

Just in time for Halloween, the Actors Equity professional Actors Shakespeare Company, in residence at the historic Snyder Academy in Elizabeth, New Jersey will present a staged reading of Jules Verne's acclaimed 1865 science-fiction adventure FROM THE EARTH TO THE MOON today, October 29th at 3:00pm.

The Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park breathes life into three classic stories from literature in fun, innovative and fresh ways for this season's Off the Hill Series. ROBIN HOOD, which chronicles the exploits of the legendary outlaw, will launch the popular family-friendly series this fall, touring to community centers throughout Greater Cincinnati from Sept. 24 through Oct. 30.

Dealing with the concepts of technological singularity and transhumanism, Adina and Michael Verson-McQuilken's MACHINE MAKES MAN navigates its way through the traditions of science fiction, ultimately emerging as a poignant reflection on the nature of humanity, with some broadly comic entertainment along the way.

Those nostalgic for Three Stooges slapstick or old-time vaudeville will thoroughly enjoy playwright Mark Brown's AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS. The very committed cast of five enact 30+ different characters, sometimes within the same scene. Allison Bibicoff directs her talented cast in a relentless pace, never stopping in between the barrage of some funny physical comedy bits and clever sight gags with the available props.

 Asolo Rep proudly announces the final production of its 2016-17 season: TWENTY THOUSAND LEAGUES UNDER THE SEA,  the stunning new theatrical re-imagination of Jules Verne's classic deep sea tale created by Craig Francis and Rick Miller, who will direct Asolo Rep's production, and presented by Canada's family-focused entertainment production company Kidoons and WYRD Productions.

?Ellis Productions & Aleksandar Vass will present the Australian premiere of the epic adventure, AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS adapted by Toby Hulse, based on the novel by Jules Verne and directed by Award-winning director Terence O'Connell. AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS will commence on Tuesday 23rd August and continue through Sunday 4th September 2016 at the Alex Theatre, St Kilda.
