BroadwayWorld has learned that It Shoulda Been You will play its final performance on Broadway, Sunday, August 9, 2015 at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre (256 W 47th Street).

Kinky Boots, the smash-hit musical that brings together four-time Tony Award-winner Harvey Fierstein (Book) and Tony and Grammy Award-winning rock icon Cyndi Lauper (Tony Award-winner for Best Score for Kinky Boots) debuts at the Hennepin Theatre Trust's Orpheum Theatre (910 Hennepin Ave., downtown Minneapolis) July 28-Aug. 2, 2015 as the final production in the 2014-2015 Thrivent Financial Broadway on Hennepin Season. The upcoming UK premiere of Kinky Boots, Broadway's huge-hearted, high-heeled hit, today announces the opening of a new booking period, with tickets now available until Saturday 6 February 2016. Tickets for this extended period will go on sale from Monday 29 June 2015. Winner of six Broadway Tony® Awards, Kinky Boots will open at London's Adelphi Theatre on 15 September 2015, with previews from 21 August 2015.

The original Broadway version of Kander and Ebb's Tony-nominated musical THE VISIT closes today, June 14, 2015. On last night's TONIGHT SHOW, Chita Rivera revealed she wants to guest star on The Walking Dead and chats about her Tony-nominated role in Broadway's The Visit.

NBC has announced that Tony nominated actress Chita Rivera will be a guest on THE TONIGHT SHOW STARRING JIMMY FALLON tonight, June 4th.

Following several on-stage engagements at Broadway's new musical comedy, It Shoulda Been You, a young Norwalk, Connecticut couple will wed on stage at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre (256 W 47Th Street). Immediately following the Saturday, May 30, 2015 matinee performance, Matt Harter and his fiancee Jordan Reuck, a life-long Broadway fan, will exchange vows before the entire Shoulda company and audience. 

As previously reported, The Visit's Roger Rees has taken a leave from his role in the new Broadway musical The Visit, with Tom Nelis stepping in for the time being. Today, producers have released a statement on Rees' departure, confirming it's due to medical reasons.

Musical theatre star Betty Buckley recently spent time backstage at THE VISIT with Chita Rivera. BroadwayWorld has learned that Roger Rees is currently on leave from The Visit, and in his place, Tom Nelis is temporarily stepping in as Anton Schell. No word yet on the duration of the hiatus. Of note, the star has also been swapped out for Nelis on the show's official web site. According to audience member reports, Nelis is giving a stellar performance in the role opposite the legendary Chita Rivera. Keep checking BroadwayWorld as we learn more!
