Shattered Globe to Stage THE GROWN-UP at Theater Wit, 4/9-5/23

On the heels of its critically-acclaimed, sold-out production of The Rose Tattoo, Shattered Globe Theatre is pleased to conclude its 2014-15 season with the Chicago premiere of Jordan Harrison's hilarious kick in the heart, THE GROWN-UP, directed by Krissy Vanderwarker, playing April 9 - May 23, 2015 at Theater Wit, 1229 W. Belmont Ave. in Chicago. Shattered Globe will stage the second ever production of Harrison's new play, which debuted last year at Actors Theatre of Louisville's Humana Festival. Tickets for THE GROWN-UP are available at www.theaterwit.org, in person at the Theater Wit Box Office or by calling (773) 975-8150. The press performance is Sunday, April 12 at 3 pm.

Playwrights Horizons is now accepting entries for its popular LIVEforFIVE online lottery for up to two $5 tickets each to the New York premiere of THE QUALMS, a new play by Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winner Bruce Norris (Clybourne Park and The Pain and the Itch at PH, Domesticated). Directed by Tony and Obie Award winner Pam MacKinnon (Clybourne Park and Completeness at PH; Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?; this season's A Delicate Balance and The Heidi Chronicles), the play is the final production of the theater company's 2014/2015 Season.

The Flea Theater has announced the New York premiere of The Theatre @ Boston Court's production of HAPPY DAYS by Samuel Beckett, directed by Andrei Belgrader. After critically acclaimed runs in Boston and LA, The Flea welcomes theater veterans Brooke Adams and Tony Award nominee Tony Shalhoub to Tribeca. Previews begin June 20 with opening night slated for June 29.

It was just announced that Stephen Adly Guirgis' Between Riverside and Crazy has earned the 2015 Pulitzer Prize for Drama. The play ran at the Atlantic THeatre Company last summer and again at Second Stage Theatre in February.
