Prospect Theater Hosts Auditions Today for 2015 Teen Summer Intensive

This July, Prospect Theater Company (Cara Reichel, Producing Artistic Director / Melissa Huber, Managing Director) will once again host a three-week Summer Intensive for musical theater students ages 12-17. Beginning Monday, July 6 and running through Saturday, July 25, admitted students will participate in a daily musical theater training program from Mon. - Sat., 10am-6pm (Sundays off).

ASCAP is now seeking new musicals for the annual ASCAP Musical Theatre Workshop in New York. Serving once more as artistic director for the workshop is Academy and Grammy Award-winning composer-lyricist Stephen Schwartz, whose credits include hit Broadway shows Wicked, Godspell and Pippin; the Walt Disney films Enchanted, Pocahontas and The Hunchback of Notre Dame; and the DreamWorks film The Prince of Egypt.

Soluna Studio to Present TICK…TICK…BOOM!

SoLuna Studio will produce the musical TICK…TICK…BOOM! as a part their professional mainstage season, with performances running February 20th-March 8th. Performances will be held on Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 3pm. Tickets purchased in advance are $15 for students and seniors and $20 for adults. The award-winning CAP21 Theatre Company will open its 2015 season with the first production of a new musical, THE ARTIST & THE SCIENTIST, with book and lyrics by Jenny Stafford, music by Brandon Anderson, and story by Jenny Stafford and Brandon Anderson. It is a love story exploring the conflicting ways in which we each see the world and the fears we have of losing ourselves in other people. THE ARTIST & THE SCIENTIST will play a limited run from tonight, February 4 -28, 2015 at the CAP21 Theatre, 18 West 18th Street, 5th Floor, New York.
