American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) will close its 2011-12 season with the Bay Area premiere of The Scottsboro Boys, the critically acclaimed musical based on a tragic chapter in American history. Nominated for twelve 2011 Tony Awards, The Scottsboro Boys features music and lyrics by the legendary Broadway songwriting team of John Kander and Fred Ebb (Cabaret, Chicago, Kiss of the Spider Woman), book by David Thompson (Steel Pier, Chicago), musical direction by Eric Ebbenga, and direction and choreography by five-time Tony Award-winner Susan Stroman (The Producers, Young Frankenstein, Contact). Jeff Whiting will serve as associate director and choreographer. Tony and Emmy Award winner Hal Linden (Barney Miller, The Rothschilds on Broadway) joins the stellar cast as The Interlocutor. The Scottsboro Boys performs a limited run June 21-July 15, 2012, at the American Conservatory Theater (415 Geary Street, San Francisco). One year ago yesterday, the nine-time Tony nominated revival of HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING opened at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre, led by Daniel Radcliffe and John Larroquette. Since then the production has gained several new stars, including Darren Criss, Nick Jonas, Michael Urie, Beau Bridges, and more! The Old Globe today announced that the World Premiere musical A Room with a View will receive an additional week of performances and will now run through April 15.

Emmy Award winner and Tony Award nominee Tammy Blanchard will star opposite Kristin Davis in the original Lifetime TV movie "Of Two Minds." Blanchard plays Davis' younger sister who is dealing with schizophrenia. "Of Two Minds" premieres on Lifetime network on Saturday, March 10, at 8pm.

It was an 'Ugly Betty' reunion at HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING when Tony nominee Vanessa Williams stopped by the Al Hirschfeld Theatre to see Michael Urie as 'Bud Frump' in the show. The actress posted the photo on her WhoSay page, with the caption: 'Backstage w my best #UglyBetty pal @michaelurie starring on broadway in #How2SucceedInBusinessWithoutReallyTrying. The Old Globe today announced the cast and creative team for the World Premiere of A Room with a View, a new musical based on the novel by E.M. Forster with book by Marc Acito, music and lyrics by Jeffrey Stock and additional lyrics by Acito. With direction by Scott Schwartz and music direction by Boko Suzuki, A Room with a View will run March 2 - April 8, 2012 on the Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage in the Old Globe Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Preview performances run March 2 - March 9. Opening night is Saturday, March 10 at 8:00 p.m. Tickets are currently available by subscription only. Single tickets will go on sale on Sunday, Jan. 29 at 12:00 noon.
