The Ballard Institute and Museum of Puppetry and the University of Connecticut Puppets Arts Program, with the support of a UConn School of Fine Arts Anti-Racism Research Grant, are hosting a free international online symposium on systemic racism and the representation of foreigners and minorities in puppetry and allied art forms on April 9-10.

We've received an overwhelming number of scripts from playwrights across the globe, and of these, 11 original works have been selected for the FESTIVAL, along with THE BEST OF - 9 of the best plays from the last 5 years. Each group will be presented as a separate performance. THE FESTIVAL brings together directors, award-winning designers and members of Turtle Shell Productions' own in-house acting ensemble, The Terrapin Troupe.
