('Pete') Gurney, who has had 14 of his plays staged at Westport Country Playhouse, will be celebrated at the Playhouse's annual fundraiser, 'A Perfect Party: A Gala Evening Honoring A. R. Gurney,' tonight, September 22. Westport's Arthur Levitt, a valued trustee and longtime supporter of the Playhouse, will also be honored with the Playhouse Leadership Award.

Westport Country Playhouse will present a Sunday Symposium on Playwright Alan Ayckbourn, following the Sunday, August 24, 3 p.m. matinee performance of Ayckbourn's romantic comedy, 'Things We Do for Love,' with guests Tony Award nominee John Tillinger, director, and Geneva Carr, cast member.

A.R. Gurney's enduring romance about first loves and second chances, LOVE LETTERS, will have its first Broadway revival, beginning performances Saturday, September 13, 2014, at 8pm, at the Nederlander Theatre (208 West 41 Street).
