Broadway legend Andrea McArdle has two new albums set for release on Broadway Records. The first, '70s and Sunny: Live At 54 BELOW', was recorded during her triumphant debut at the new Broadway hotspot 54 BELOW and will be released on December 11, 2012 and is available for pre-order HERE. The second recording, 'Calendar Dream', is an exciting new project that teams Andrea up with a stellar array of Broadway's most awarded writers to journey though a year of a woman's life.

She will star as merry murderess Roxie Hart with John O'Hurley as Billy Flynn in a strictly limited 6-show engagement at the Citi Performing Arts Center Wang Theatre tonight, November 1-4. Press night is set for tonight, November 1 at 7:30 pm. Tickets go on sale on Friday, September 7 at 10 am.

STAGE TUBE: On This Day 10/31- THE SCOTTSBORO BOYS

Today in 2010, The Scottsboro Boys opened at the Lyceum Theatre, where it ran for 49 performances. The Scottsboro Boys is a musical with a book by David Thompson, music by John Kander and lyrics by Fred Ebb. Based on the Scottsboro Boys trial, the musical is one of the last collaborations between Kander and Ebb prior to the latter's death. The musical has the framework of a minstrel show, altered to 'create a musical social critique.' Despite closing on Broadway in December 2010, the show received twelve Tony Award nominations in May 2011, but failed to win any.
