National Lampoon / Bob and Tobly McSmith / David Galpern announce that the hit show Bayside! The Musical! will makes its return to NYC and run alongside the hit show Full House! The Musical! at Theater 80 (80 St Marks & 1st Ave, East Village) from January 7th through February 26th!

In what has become an annual ritual, a total of 36 established and emerging composers, lyricists, and librettists will converge on the Goodspeed campus from mid-January through mid-February 2016 to participate in the Johnny Mercer Foundation Writers Colony at Goodspeed Musicals. The writing teams, representing 19 new musicals, will populate the campus, creating a truly exciting environment for discovery and inspiration. A Tanner Family Parody!. Starring larger than life celebrity personality Perez Hilton as Danny Tanner, the production is on stage at the Randolph Theatre (736 Bathurst St.) for a strictly limited engagement from August 18, to September 6. Bayside! The Musical! - the hilarious unauthorized parody of the Saturday morning show "Saved by the Bell" is celebrating its 250th show on Thursday June 4th!  The surprise hit, Bayside! The Musical!, was only scheduled to run three months in Fall 2013 but has been extended 12 times.

Tonight, October 29 through Saturday, November 1, the new show will be inspired on the classic 1991 'Mystery Weekend' episode of 'Saved by the Bell.' That week is also 'Saved by the Bell' Costume Week: anyone who attends the musical dressed as their favorite character will receive a special prize. Dustin Diamond - the original 'Screech' from the TV series - will be featured in every performance through December 6, playing Dustin Diamond, the role he was born to play.

The event will be on Saturday, October 11, 2014 from 2:00-3:30 p.m. at the NYU Tisch School of the Arts, 721 Broadway in the Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program ("GMTWP") Black Box Theatre, 2nd floor, followed by a meet-and-greet with the writers and performers.

'Wasted Tunes: The Songs of Mark Sonnenblick', a World Premiere Concert, will be performed live at Don't Tell Mama, 343 West 46th Street (between 8th and 9th Avenues), tonight, September 20th at 8pm. $10 cover plus a two beverage minimum. Cash only.

'Wasted Tunes' is an original blast of theatrical rock'n'roll by composer/lyricist Mark Sonnenblick. Audiences can expect an evening of intoxicated anthems, hammered hymns, stoned showtunes, and blitzed ballads, none of which are from any comprehensible piece of theater and most of which will be performed in public for the first time. Brennan Caldwell (NBC's "The Sing-Off"), Kasie Gasparini (Mama Mia Las Vegas), Will Roland (The Black Suits), Emily Wexler, and Sonnenblick himself will star in the revue, which will be directed by Don't Tell Mama's Associate Director of Programming, Max Friedman.

Bayside! The Musical! - the hilarious unauthorized parody of the wholesome Saturday morning show "Saved by the Bell" - has joined forces with the iconic humor brand National Lampoon to expand their New York performance calendar. Starting on August 27, Bayside! will increase the weekly schedule from three to five shows, all of which will feature Dustin Diamond - the original "Screech" from the TV series - as Dustin Diamond, the role he was born to play. With seven extensions, has been playing to feverishly-enthusiastic, standing-room-only crowds since September 2013. Fort Worth Opera (FWOpera) revealed today the names of the eight composer and librettist teams from the Americas whose works have been selected for participation in the second season of the company's critically-acclaimed, annual new works program, Frontiers, taking place tonight and tomorrow, May 8 - 9, 2014, during the last week of the 2014 Opera Festival.
