Iron Age Theatre Company bring Orson Welles' MOBY DICK - REHEARSED the hunt for the great white whale live to the stage!

Valentine's Day will be a lovely one for Broadway babies since Stephen Sondheim will be participating in a livestream conversation on WQXR's The Greene Space to discuss the new Classic Stage Company's production of his 1994 Tony Award-winning romantic musical PASSION.

According to her official website, Patti LuPone will tour with her cabaret show, Far Away Places, in the coming months. Lupone will bring the show to San Francisico's The Rrazz Room (3/19-24), The New Jersey Symphony Orchestra (6/1-2), Broadway on the High Seas 3 on the Regent Seven Seas Voyager (8/4-14), and Carnegie Hall (11/7).

Reading about the new Lanford Wilson revival makes me wonder if the weekly grosses for the last Stephen Sondheim Broadway revival were known as Follies' Tally.

Classic Stage Company, under the leadership of Artistic Director Brian Kulick and Executive Director Greg Reiner, will present a private reading of a new musical comedy A DOCTOR IN SPITE OF HIMSELF by Sheldon Harnick, based on Molière's LE MEDECIN MALGRE LUI, today, February 1 at MTC Studios. The musical features a score by Harnick, as well as English Adaptation and Additional Dialogue. The reading will be directed by David Glenn Armstrong, with musical direction by Amanda Morton. The cast will feature Ben Davis, Beth Fowler, David Garrison, Cady Huffman, Charles Kimbrough, Jose Llana, Patrick Richwood, Robb Sapp and Elena Shaddow.

Back by popular demand, Well-Strung: The Singing String Quartet, will return to play a limited three-week engagement (February 28-March 16) at The Marjorie S. Deane Little Theater (10 West 64th Street - located in the YMCA).

On March 8, 2013, The New York Pops continues its 30th season with an evening of swinging favorites in Luck Be a Lady: Megan Hilty Sings Sinatra and More. Music Director and Conductor Steven Reineke - described by The New York Times as a "polished, welcoming host" who is "young and vigorous, with a playful attitude" - will lead the orchestra as it tips its hat to the Rat Pack, Ella Fitzgerald, Marilyn Monroe, and other stars from the golden age of entertainment.
