John MOuse Reunites with Sweet Baboo for Fifth Album REPLICA FIGURES 2/19

The Dallas Opera is proud to announce its ambitious 2017-2018 Season, "Motives Unmasked!" consisting of five entertaining and varied mainstage productions, including a dazzling U.S. premiere and a new Dallas Opera production of a very early opera by Viennese wunderkind Erich Wolfgang Korngold.

Capitol City Opera Company's (CCOC) Opera Outreach for Children will present The Billy Goats Gruff on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Conant Performing Arts Center at Oglethorpe University.

 The Dallas Opera is pleased to announce that single tickets for its eagerly-anticipated 2016-2017 '60th' Season and popular Family Performances Series will go on sale to the general public on Monday, July 11, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. 

Franklin Performing Arts Company's annual, free Family Concert Series concludes this season with Opera for Kids, The Three Little Pigs, on Sunday, April 10 at 2 p.m. at THE BLACK BOX, 15 West Central Street, in downtown Franklin.

After an international search, Houston Grand Opera (HGO) has chosen three new singers and one new pianist/coach for the 2016-17 HGO Studio. The artists are Yelena Dyachek, soprano, the Ana Maria Martinez Encouragement Award recipient at Concert of Arias 2016;  Zoie Reams, mezzo-soprano, the second-place prize winner at Concert of Arias 2016;  Sol Jin, baritone, the Audience Choice Award winner at Concert of Arias 2016; and Peter Walsh, pianist/coach. One of the most respected and highly competitive young artist programs in the world, the HGO Studio provides comprehensive career development to young singers, pianist/coaches, and conductors who have demonstrated potential to make major contributions to the field of opera. The HGO Studio received applications from 475 artists; of those, about 275 were heard in auditions in Houston, New York, Philadelphia, Cincinnati, and Los Angeles. For singers, the audition process culminates in HGO's annual Eleanor McCollum Competition for Young Singers, held this year on February 4.

Over the next few months UK partners and the British Museum will host a series of events examining the social, political, financial and educational value of museums working in partnership around the country.

The work is directed by Nashville Opera's Director of Education and Outreach, Chandra McKern. This 40-minute operatic version of Jack and the Beanstalk is set to music of Gilbert and Sullivan and features Jack, his mother, and their cow, Snickers, the Giant, his wife, and the Trouble Man.
