Debbie Lannen of Wolverine Lake, MI has always felt strongly about treating other people with respect. With that in mind she has decided to bring a much needed message to the Mid Winter Madness Festival in NYC. Her new anti bullying play, 'I'm Sorry' centers around the idea of what life would be like if we learned not to do the things that make us have a reason to say 'I'm sorry'.

The Midtown International Theatre Festival (MITF) announced the winners of the MITF 2013 Season Awards. The Award ceremony was held on Monday, September 30, 2013 at 7pm at The Actors Temple Theater, 339 W. 47th Street, NYC.

Margarita and Max by Montclair resident, Manuel Igrejas, recently won awards for Best Short Play, Best Actress and Best Director at the Midtown International Theatre Festival in New York City. In the play Margarita is having a rough time. She's unemployed, broke and newly unattached. She's on her way to catch a bus to New York City (any resemblance to the #66 DeCamp bus is purely coincidental) to interview for a menial job she probably won't get. She could use a miracle. A strong spring breeze blows one of those ubiquitous black plastic bags into her path...and into her life. This is no ordinary bag and this is no ordinary day. Local Metro Detroit Playwright Debbie Lannen is making her name in The Big Apple. On Sat. Sept. 28 her play, Priscilla the Precious made it premiere at John Chatterton's Short Play Lab at the Roy Arias Theatre on 43rd Street. It was one of 11 plays selected to be presented in the program. At the Saturday performance ,Priscilla the Precious accumulated the most votes for audience favorite. Following the Sunday afternoon performance votes were tallied it was confirmed as the winner.

The Midtown International Theatre Festival (MITF) presents their Thirteenth Annual Season AWARDS CEREMONY on Monday, September 30, 2012 at 7pm at The Actors Temple Theater, 339 W. 47th Street, NYC. In association with the Midtown International Theater Festival, award-winning writer and director Lori Mannette and producer Haley Swindal present: Over The Hill, a new dark comedy running 50 minutes. The show will play from today, July 31st to August 4th in the Dorothy Strelsin Theater, located at 312 W. 36th Street.

Joanne de Simone's dark study about how peer pressure can turn social media into a murder weapon premieres this month at John Chatterton's 2013 Midtown InterNational Theatre Festival. Making his dramatic stage debut is Ryan Bertroche. Ryan has appeared on many other stages as an international fashion model for - amongst others - Calvin Klein.
